WIP Paz Viszla
« on: Aug 16, 2022, 04:45 AM »
Early stages of planning, but this will eventually become a Paz WIP. Also working on an upgrade in the 3D printer department.

For colors, I am looking at:
Light Blue: Krylon Satin Rolling Surf
Brown: Rustoleum Kona Brown
Armor Yellow: Rustoleum Tuscan Sun
Jetpack Yellow: Krylon Satin Spiced Amber
Exposed Metal: Rustoleum Metallic Silver

Not sure which Dark Blue to select yet. Leaning toward the Matte Ink Blue:

A couple of questions regarding the CRLs:
1. "Chest of the flight suit features four slits in the fabric where straps from the chest plate run into the flight suit.  There are two slits at the top of the chest plate under the leading edge of the shoulder strap armor and two slits on the flanks of the flight suit under the arm."
So I understand, the chest and back plates are held together by these straps that go under the flight suit and not the leather straps that are visible over the shoulders?
2. "A leather or leather like pad is worn under the front of the belt and covers the top of the cod plate. This pad features uneven horizontal folds across its length."
Is there any suggestions for a type of leather that would work for this "folding" pattern?
3. "The C-shaped [ammo belt] buckle is made of metal."
Does anyone sell the metal buckle?
4. Does the backplate need to match this shot from the BoBF?

After upgrading to a new printer, printing, gluing, sanding, priming, realizing I scaled the print up too big, reprinting, gluing, priming, and painting,  I have a helmet done. The visor hasn't been secured yet. Its hanging on purely by friction until I get the details finalized and another layer of clear coat applied.

I decided on;
Dark Blue: Krylon Fusion - Matte Ink Blue
Light Blue: Montana Black - Tiffany
Light Metal: Rustoleum - Metallic Aluminum
Dark Metal: Krylon Fusion - Metallic Dark Metal
Gunmetal (Earcaps): Dupli Color Gunmetal

Currently printing the blaster while the flight suit is getting sewn.

Awww yeah Ek! gonna hit your questions

That is correct to our understanding
2. "A leather or leather like pad is worn under the front of the belt and covers the top of the cod plate. This pad features uneven horizontal folds across its length."
Is there any suggestions for a type of leather that would work for this "folding" pattern? - I think the show uses pleather to get the fold correct
3. "The C-shaped [ammo belt] buckle is made of metal."
Does anyone sell the metal buckle?
Id have to take a look at Etsy but I think there should be. Otherwise there is a builders group for Paz on FB
4. Does the backplate need to match this shot from the BoBF?
Season 1 is slightly different but we will accept either version.

MMCC recently approved their first Paz Vizsla. These were their final approval pictures.

I'll find out what they did for the buckle and update here.
