I have a very hourglass-shaped body, I hate wearing scrub tops the proper size is super tight on my chest. I'm not sure what I could do as alternative. Any help is welcome.

Do you have access to a sewing machine or someone to help?

I'm not a "curvy lady" but rather a bigger guy with a Santa-esque (albeit shrinking) physique.   I had a heck of a time figuring out  how I wanted my vest to accommodate my size.   Thanks to my lovely Mrs I was able to figure out where to put the darts and how many/long.   Once I have the plates on along with my girth belt you won't see them at all. 

One option that comes to mind is to find a top that "mostly fits" and is a bit big so you can have darts added without being too short/tight in other places.

Hope that at least gets you another lead in your quest.

I technically got scrubs for the shirt and pants for my flight suit, but the top is made of a very stretchy material and not the typical stiff cotton most scrubs are made of. If that won't work, then tailoring a scrub top that fits your chest so that it fits well everywhere else may be the best option.

I had to learn how to do a lot of darts for my sash and vest because I'm very curvy from the waist down, and I feel your pain! Let me know if you have any questions on tailoring stuff. I'm happy to share what I've learned.
