The Education team is currently looking for enthusiastic and energetic Official Members in good standing to join the team and help us serve the members of this Club and the general public. Education Team members are expected to check in and update the team weekly - at a minimum - of the status of any projects you're working on, with additional participation during training periods.
We are seeking to fill roles in each of the following sub teams.
The Welcome Team.
This team ensures that every single person who posts in the "Introduce Yourself" sub-forum is welcomed. It may seem very minor, but remember how great it felt when you were welcomed to the Club? The Welcome Team ensures that everybody is greeted, and any questions they have in that post are answered, even if the answer is, "I'm not sure, but let me see what I can find out."
-What we're looking for in a Welcome Team member:
- A friendly demeanor
- Active on the forum
- A self-starter, able to work without supervision, and initiates regular communication with your team lead.
The Training Team.
This team handles training for various positions in the Club, most notably at this time training for Ruus'alore Solyc and appointed Ruus'alore.
-What we're looking for in a Training Team member:
- Familiarity with Google Drive/Docs
- Ability to read submissions and evaluate against a rubric
- Ability to give constructive feedback related to performance against a rubric
- Willingness and ability to accept constructive feedback and coaching
- 2-5 hours of availability per week during course offering times -- between Monday and Friday in addition to posting class materials on Sunday at 11:59pm EST.
The Tutorial Team.
This team is responsible not only for creating new tutorials, but in evaluating tutorials submitted by the general membership.
-What we're looking for in a Tutorial Team member:
- Familiarity with Google Drive/Docs
- A self-starter, able to work individually and as a member of a small team, and initiates regular communication with your team lead.
- Able to start, finish and maintain a tutorial while following a set format and template.
- Must be diligent and efficient
- Be capable of taking on user-submitted tutorials; evaluate and modify them to follow our template, and make adjustments to add in conversions for measurements so that all our members and the general public can benefit.
The Publishing Team.
This team ensures that the materials the Education Team publishes are formatted correctly, matching the master template. This team also ensures any spelling and grammar errors are corrected before publication.
-What we're looking for in a Publishing Team member:
- Proofreading ability and experience, whether professional or amateur.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Regular forum activity.
- Basic knowledge of BBCode, to ensure all materials are properly formatted.
The Translation Team.
This team is responsible for translating the Club's various official documents into languages other than English.
-What we're looking for in a Translation Team member:
- Fluency/Functionality in English is a must.
- Fluency in French, Spanish, or German
- A self-starter, able to work without supervision, and initiates regular communication with your team lead. In addition we are always looking for folks who are self motivated to bring our forums to life in their own languages!
