I have a question about:

I have searched through the forums and asked my Kar'ta Beskar Clan leader however we are unaware of the answer.

Is TPU Filament an approved material for use in building armor?  

This is a new(ish) form of filament that has a flexibility depending on gauge used.  It is not "floppy" and is rigid to keep it's shape however flexible enough to make bending at the waist a bit more comfortable.

I ask as a client I recently finished a commission for left me with ten spools that are unused.  This would not be used for a helmet but rather for chest and ab armor plates.

TPU currently is not an approved material. The main reason for this is two fold: 1. TPUs come in various hardnesses, which makes it hard to view photographically if it is too flexy and 2. finding an appropriate flexible filler is particularly challenging especially when additional paint is applied.

Many of the same issues we see with EVA foam can be present with TPU and then add on 3d print post processing requirements.
