Kham WIP So many questions

I have a flight suit. Today I removed all the outer pockets and sewed the openings on the side shut. IT is still a bit large, but is snug when I bend or squat. It is practical over form fitting. How much comfort can I get away with in my soft pieces?

I also am looking for a decent pattern to look at for the vest. I have a ton of different 'leather' materials to make one out of. I just need a clue as to where I am heading with it. I want Post-Imperial but I thought sleeves were out for that era? Yet every tutorial I am finding adds short sleeves for some reason.

The Mando builder could be more user friendly. It's definitely better than hand drawing everything out the first go round but there were somethings I saw on some individuals builds that were not in the builder so I am not sure if they don't add all the approvable options to the builder?

I need a lady Mando to chat with about specific Lady Mando things.
As soon as I can find this thread again (From my phone this time) I can upload the pictures of what I have done so far.

Hello!

Took me a minute to track down your thread here.

As far a fit for the flightsuit goes, think fitted but still functional.  Large baggy cloths will get caught and slow you down but skin tight canvas will turn you into a scarecrow.  Pics will really help to find that perfect spot.

PI vest do not have to have sleeves but most tutorials were written before the new stuff came out so it's all mostly targeted toward Modern.  That said you can just leave the cap sleeves off if you want.  You don't have to do PI sleeveless, that choice is entirely yours.

As far as purchased patterns go, I like Sionnach Studies Space Merc line.  But you can draft your own as well using the duct tape dummy method too.  (YouTube has bunch of tutorials for that kind of thing)

Mando Builder, while we all use it and recommend it, was made by an individual who was kind enough to share it with us all.  Most likely if you haven't found the item on there its a custom piece.  Lots of us make custom stuff that no one else has and it would be impossible to try and add all those things in there.

Lady Mando stuff is what we do here.  ;)

Just finished my flak vest using Sionnach Studio's pattern and while slightly frustrating in the alterations, it was an easy-to-follow pattern and a great finished product. I'm also leaning towards PI and do not have sleeves on my vest.

Here's my WIP thread if you want to check it out...
