So while I wait for my knees to be printed to be that much closer to pre-app ready, and with Freddy Beach Fan Fest coming up, I decided to tackle a prop for the Merc's booth: one of the banners seen during Ragnar Viszla's oath ceremony:
Specifically the left most one.
I was able to get some PVC piping and fittings and the fabric today (a mid-weight white denim actually, which has a nice weight that should hang well, while still flowing nicely in any wind it gets carried in).
Laid the parts out when I got home in a mock-up to see the scale of it:
My partner's the soft-goods maestro, so she'll be hemming the banner, making the pocket for the crossbeam, and then doing the fabric painting to recreate the on-screen decorations.
My job'll be considerably more simple in some ways. Spraying the piping a hammered dark bronze, and building a stand so it can be stood upright without being held. Likely out of some 2x4 or the like.
