Hey all,
I have started think about my belt. I have a nice belt and I've got a couple good leather pouches, and I pretty much know what I'm going to do with my holster. The only thing that I've been stuck on for it has been the belt buckle. I don't really want to use a normal belt buckle, and I doubt it would be approvable, and I want it to be actual metal. Anyone have any idea on where I could pick a nice in-universe looking belt buckle?

You'd be surprised the number of styles of buckles in StarWars. What does the buckle look like and what's it made from?

As for the type of buckle it has, this belt actually didn't come with one. I got it from a relative, and it didn't have the buckle with it.

If that's the case, you have a lot of choices. There are many styles of buckles used, even the most "mundane", everyday buckles. Check out this article about buckles in Star Wars, and see the variety used in the fiilms themselves:

Darth Narwhal, it could be as simple as getting a buckle blank from a leather supply vendor and dressing it up with a custom cover, or adding some greebs, or finding one of the styles in the link Tramp Graphics supplied (Stashing that link in my "useful links" archive, Tramp!). Heck, you wouldn't even need to "dress it up". Really, the only time you need to "dress up" a buckle is if it's an obviously plastic buckle.

I recently bought a belt from a retired member. The buckle is very custom with his Mando'a initial done in sintra. I figure I'll hit it with a torch and some graphite and make a "trophy" out of it.
