i used leimholz most.
in english it must called "glued wood" or "glulam (Glued Laminated Timber)" or something.
bought it at the local hardware store. i would say: use the wood you can buy at a store near your home and something which isn't that expensive i did it this way

how to put the two pieces together, using foam and NO screws or something similar (it's enough foam that the frontpart(pipe) doesn't move a mm)

progress-time
added the last greeblies... the back part of the rifle is now FINISHED!

and added the bigger pipe ( used some sticks of wood to get the right distance between the two pipes, hotglue to connect the two and bondo two fill the gaps and get a smooth intersection)
make sure to sand much off of the surface of the pipes!

Nice ner vod! What width pvc did you use for the barrel? I think when I do mine I will go one size up though.  Amazing progress; it is really coming together. Great build thread and tut. Somewhat

4cm and 5cm are mine. you could also use 5 and 6 i guess, it's up to you
if im right (and i didn't find anything against it) there isn't an official statement to the measurements of the dc15 rifle so... there isn't a "right size" in my eyes...
i looked at many referencepics  for the dimensions and used a little trick
i looked at some screencaps... i know, that the clones are 1,83m tall (wookipedia ), plus a few cm of shoes and helmet... let's say 1,90m tall. then i took the screen cap, took the measurements of the clone(head to toe) and from the rifle (e.g. 20cm and 15cm) and made a equation:
20:15=190:x
x is the right size for the rifle
then you have the overall size and can go on with comparisons between parts and so on.
