in the UK army surlus isn't cheap , can't sell second hand any more , so shops have had to buy in new stock wich is limited to the small retaier , so unless there is a local T.A. or regular Training base /barraks them will only sell what is in high demand.

ok so ranger joes has one suit at 34.95 and the rest are 65-200 and captain daves are 30.95-54.95 so I dont see daves being a ripoff

Heh I can find them and other Military Surplus cheaper. Seen a Mig Pilot suit for 20 bucks a couple of days ago actully. Full body coveralls for more or less the same price. Add soem pockets and boom flight suit. Online too I mean, might make a thread with some Addy's if anyone wants.

Might take some time if your picky, but I recomend http://www.sportsmansguide.com/ flate rate shiping too for a change.  And this is the place with the MIG Suit I recommend requesting the gatalog however. The site is not updated regularly. http://www.majorsurplus.com/ Flat shipping too. I have more but there the standard by weight shipping. They had black Coveralls from JEEP in there for 24 bucks or so. The Major Surplus had East German Coveralls for 10 bucks.

I will always take a Flightsuit for trooping over Coveralls... and here is why....

Flightsuits have the adjustable wrist/ankle meaning that you can cinch them down for blousing or just to fit neatly under your guantlets.  The multiple pockets are great for carrying a variety of things.  I put all of my annacronistic things (EI; ID, cash, credit card ) in the thigh pockets.  Also Fliightsuit have the ventilation holes in the armpits and crotch, just a small detail, but very welcome in the TX heat.  And finally, the small bicep pocket on the left arm of a flightsuit is a perfect place to hid your voice Amp.

I put my voice amp in the bicep pocket, and run the mic wire up the sleave and through the neck hole then up to my headset.  Great way to hide it, and still be able to take your bucket off.

Captain Daves is great value...luckily, i just need a black flightsuit, which i can get for $40 at the local surplus

I have lived in Coveralls mst of my life, working in garages and in the navy.  The Polyester doesnt breath as well as teh nomex or Cotton blend flightsuits.

Thanks for the link! I've been looking into doing an X-wing pilot costume, and most of the suppliers for the orange suit are asking nearly $80 apiece. But with modifications, this could work! Thanks again!
