Well here's the start for the IOA Aurra Sing Pistol Holsters that I bought,assembled,and painted for my girlfriend.
So far I got the pattern done and then cut out the leather.
Next step is to form them,dye them,rivet and then attach them to the belt

Nice!  Are you wet-shaping the holsters to get the shape?  I just bought a side of leather to make some holsters, hopefully they come out half as good as yours.

Yep, Just soaked the leather, wrapped it around the gun and proceeded to mold it around it.  Thanks for the compliment

Well here is the almost finished belt rig for my girlfriends kit. I still need to add the leg strapping but aside from doing the tooling later on this is pretty much how it looks

Same here, once I got the pattern riveted, jammed the gun as far down as it could go, then I sprayed it with water then used a hairdryer to dry it out, then I kept taking the gun out of the holster to get it to come out without it getting stuck.

Is it possible to get a pattern for these? I've got the Sing blasters as well...and will be needing holsters.

Uhm...by chance...would anyone have a list of materials to use and not to use for holsters? lol

Just lay the gun down on a piece of paper and trace around it to make a pattern like the one Ca-Loar made here. You can use any sturdy material for a holster; medium-heavy-weight leather, sintra, cardboard (cover it in fiberglass or thinner leather) etcetera.

I've made more than one holster out of cardboard, then glued on leather from an old coat that I use for scraps. With sintra, it's just a matter of heating it up and bending it around the gun, then gluing the seam together. I usually cover my sintra holsters in vinyl or thin leather as well, just to make it look prettier .

I do leather working and I just put presoak the leather for about a half hour, or so. Then I put the prop in the leather and let it it natually dry overnight, on its own. I think you get a better mold that way.

Of course, I have heard of the freezing method, where you take the wet leather folded over the prop and throw it in a freezer. The purpose is to shock the leather into shape. Once done, you take it out and let it thaw. But I think that is probably doing more work that what is necessary.

I've never used the hairdryer method. But then again, I don't have one, so that would explain why. It sounds like it is a viable solution, if one is in a hurry. I just prefer the "slow and steady wins the race" method.

I'll see if I can post a pic of the pattern. If you do make your own with paper, be sure to add about a 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch extra to the pattern to make up for the thickness of the leather

This is solid advice. Not only for the thickness of the leather, but you need a bit of excess to sew / rivet (whatever your method of keeping the holster closed may be). I would go 3/4, myself. If it is too much, you can always trim a little off.

Very cool and thank you. I have yet to put my Sing blasters together (no tools and glue etc) hence the inquiry of a pattern I could possibly print out.
