so I"ve been working on this for some time... in the last few days I've actually made some notable progress, and thought I"d share it here. so enjoy!

progress update, I've bondo ed the scope to make the parts flow together better, constructed and attached the scope mount, and filled in the screw-holes... I've actually sanded down the bondo already... these are before sanding pics. next I paint the scope, paint the main body, and attach the scope... looking forward to seeing this compleated!

comming up on compleation here... just a few more details to finish up. still need to attach the scope to the body, give it a minor weathering, and gloss coat the whole thing.

Okay Vode... Finally finished! after attaching the scope, a coat of flat clear, and a little light weathering... I present to you my Finished DL-44!

This was very nicely done.  Couldn't a Airsoft Mauser be used for the base and mod it.
This is one website that has it.  I know it's price but there are bound to be other sites that you can buy one cheap and use it for a base.

That's how many do it, I forget who it was but they make kits to convert it. Therpf.com has lots of good stuff.

Any airsoft weapon used as a base to mod, must have all the inner mechanism removed. As long as you remember this, go ahead and mod them ;) .
