 well this is my first WIP here ... i started with an awsome supercommanod helemt from falin .... but when i tried to put it on there was no way my head was fitting into this.. exspecially with glasses.....so i had to cut out the cheeeks and rebuild them.... i noticed that if i didnt wear glasses i didnt need to cut out as much cheek  .. but since there is no way n this galaxy or another can i wear contacts.. so another 1/4 inch of cheek line had to go.....


i used carboard to mock up the cheeks instead of sign material cause i wanted to resin it in with therest of it.. by mixing an extremely hot mix on carboard it actually bonds very well and seeps into the cardboard " i added several puncture holes to alow more seeping"....i have used this before on body kits that needed a little tlc and seemed to work and hold up at 150 mph so this should work as well....

once fully cured " as hot as i made it " it should be a matter of minutes.. ill let it cool to touch and then ill sand it ruffish and smooth it out with mondo.... i use stuff called chormolight its a light weigh bondo i love it way more than the regular name brand bondo...

heres soem with the resin on it.. it loosk flimsy but i can asure you its not.. its solid.. i also used "mighty putty" this stuff hardes liek a rock when cured on the inside to help fill  in and give soem rigis ness to it.. all it needs is a thin bondo layer ...

im also goint to start on the key hole slots in back cuttign them out and then shaping a few areas here and there

Looking good, I so need the weather to get better soon so I can get back on mine. I have to ask, where do you get the bondo like stuff you used? It looks like it is easier to use

its made by evercoat .. called chorme-a-lite ... i get mine at my local auto body paint shop.. not liek auto zone or places liek that but paint hsops that cader more to car painting/ repair specifically... and it is very easy to use .. it has alot more polimers in it than regualr bondo so its easier to sand with out all the fien dust... i swear by it ...

ok heres some updated pics ..  got the little imperfections worked out and ready for the red base coat..


yes i did apply primer .. i used and etching primer first then a filler primer .. after that all dried i did a die-coat and a quick wet sand to smooth things out ... and then applied the red....

 yes i noticed the one cheek and a flaw i missed but after it dried i wet sanded it and its all smooth again... not sure what happin there ...

ok so here is an update.. i got the flat black base coat one and the chromolusion.... ill get better sunlight pics tomorrow

This makes me happy... Because I'm using that same colorshift (only from Rustoleum) for all of my accent coloring... good to know it's gonna come out the way I pictured it.

ty but i think i just found somthing to take it to the next level .. carbon fiber.... !!!! i found soem and thinking about doing cheeks in carbon fiber...

nearing the end.. all paints doen just waiting on carbon fiber inserts for the cheek area..

I wasn't sure about the red skull ( no pun intended), but it seems to work. Just need to weather it and you should be good to go.

i know im going to get greef about weathering.. but there is small amounts that dont show up... the detail is much better in real life... im going for that jango weathering.. i know jango isnt perfect theres minimal weathering.. and its that small amount im shooting for...
