Thanks for all the encouragement guys! I definitely find myself needing some of that to keep me going at times

I got some more work done on the jetpack. The tupperware containers I was working with for the air intake things at the top were too rigid and cracked. I might just end up building my own. Needs some more building, cleanup, and bondo, but it's progress!


I also did some work on my helmet. Big_water99 sent me the parts for the rebreather on the helmet with the helmet itself, but they weren't as accurate as I wanted them to be. So I made my own. I still have to get the coupling that the hose connects to because the plug I have doesn't fit the coupling Big_water provided.

I don't want you guys to think I'm slacking off or that I've abandoned this build, I've just had no time whatsoever to work on it and that's not an exaggeration. I have a couple of small updates to keep anyone following this build to keep coming back for more:

I finished installing the rebreathers. There's some repaint work that needs to be done, but it's minor.


I've also been making a lot of progress on the jetpack intake turbines (the two boxy things) which are almost ready to go. After those are done, they'll get attached, gaps will be filled and then the jetpack will be ready for paint.

The belt has been the project that has taken the longest just because I have to do all the stitching on the pouches by hand and that can be tedious and I just don't have the time very often to sit down and knock them out. But I only have 1 left to do. After that I just need to build the holster, rivet all the parts together and then dye it and it's ready to go. The knife sheath just needs to be stitched and riveted to the leather straps. I got my hand on a large amount of grommets to use on the straps on the calves.

The pistol is also a WIP. I'd show pictures but it it's in pieces at the moment waiting to be reassembled.

Really this costume is very close to being done, it's just a matter of time. Hopefully having enough of it by the time July 12th rolls around.

Got my pistol finished and ready for paint.

Then there's this one from an issue of KOTOR (panel on the right)



And then this one from another KOTOR comic (panel on the left) in which his gun looks like a modern 9mm



I did my best to keep it consistent. Hard to do when none of the reference imagery is. I wasn't going to build the one in the second reference image because it wouldn't fit in a holster the way the scope is configured. I instead tried to combine the first and third images in a way that worked with the light gun I was using for a base gun.

Updates!

Got a lot of work done on the holster rig. Still have to finish the harness straps, get some snaps and just one more pouch to finish. After that I'm going to finish up my other leather goods and dye them all in one go. All that's left on the other things is to finish the knife sheath/boot straps and the straps that go around the arms.



I also got a lot of work done on the body of the jetpack intake valves. Needs more bondo, some more bondo, and then maybe a touch more bondo. After that I'll attach the vent fins up at the top and done! Then all that's left is attachment to the jetpack some gap filling and then paint.



In other news, I painted the pistol. I'll provide pictures when I've weathered it to my satisfaction.

Big update here. Got my jetpack done! Feels good to have this done. This and the gun were my main stumbling blocks so far. Now both are done.

You'll be happy to know that everything is finished and done, it's just minor adjustments now. Oh except that I need new shoulder armor, but that's already on order.

Updates! Thought I'd show off my harness, pistol and boots.





The shoulder armor is being shipped out soon. I got legacy bells that I am going to modify. Once I get them it should only take me a few hours to mod, paint and attach the spikes.

Anyways, looking good Ref, is the harness going to go under your vest? It's just to hold up the lower armor right? Or do I need to go back and look at referance pics agian.
