The vest needs to be single recogniseable piece, ie: one material, one colour. You can use pelts as trophys, Which Blackbird, one of our members put to good use ;) .

what would be the best material? and would a deer pelt not be one material and one colour?
i'm sorry if i come off as rude  but this the part that giving me the most trouble, i'm trying to think of some thing new to bring to the table, as the vest is the one thing that never changes

You need a material which will let the armour plates sit firm and nothing sagging. Leather, pleather and duckcloth are favorite.
