how does this look to you folks?

the ones I saw had the sides made from the same leather as the body and were glued on, I sewed them by hand instead and used some thin garment grade leather. the body is 6-7 oz tooling leather. the white sticky velcro is just a place holder. I normally use a snap for the belt loops, but here I just used some rivets.








how many go on a Jango belt? is it 7?

Hey Vod, great job on the holsters so far would you happen to know of any templates swimming out there on how to make the Jango leg straps for around the thights? I am making a Jaster Mereel, and any template help wold be useful

all I did was buy the cheapo vinal adult sized costume version and cut it up to make templates. just have to add hardware instead of velcro.

small update for this project-

the pouches just need to be assembled, and a proper jango belt for them.....just need to see a pic of one


and most of the straps for the holster rig, minus a few bits like the little strip that the thigh straps slide through at the bottom of the holsters as well as the piece that holds the leg straps to the holsters near the top rear. and still need some hard ware-

The belt is a piece of the same leather cut square at each end and velcroed. If you look at my pics you can see it how it goes .

great work! you would'nt happen to have patterns or templates for the pouches and holsters would you? im gonna make my own, and the patterns would greatly help.

                those pouch patterns came from Dented Helmet site, and the holster templates I made from the old vinal holsters that came with the rubies brand westar pistols... I'm not sure where to find those.

back here now....

      finally able to start getting back into the swing of things and catching up on projects, been out of it for too long.

 so- finished the jango pouches and got a length cut for a belt. its 53 inches right now, but plan on trimming it shorter before I sell it. just needs dye and some Velcro closures.



still working on the holster set as well as some pouches for a few fellows( I still got you Niabi, just waiting on snaps ) and some various props and another kit!

slow going until I get my apartment turned into workspace(s).

5-6 oz. tooling leather, finished edges, hand sewed w waxed thread, Velcro closer for pouches and belt, two coats light mahogany and one coat canyon tan, sealed , conditioned and polished. pouch sidewalls are thinner garment leather.

 still need to determine a price and I can let this go....

   opinions?
