Well, here is my flat color sketch of what I want my Mando to look like.
I know its pretty bright, but when I get the weathing on the actual beskar'gam, it wont be.

For everyone wondering what the hell I’m holding in my hand, that’s what I want to be my weapon. It’s a Techstaff, and it’s what the Mandalorian Torian Cadera (the BH companion in SWTOR) wields as his weapon. If the staff being my main weapon will be an issue when I go to get approval, I planned out a few blasters to use just for that purpose.

Other than gravity, I don’t see much issue in making what I pictured, but if anyone has anything to add to this, any intake from you guys would be very much appreciated! This is going to be my official suit, so I don’t want to get really into this only to find out I made a rookie mistake that will stop me from being accepted as a member.

In addition, any tutorials you guys may have used that saved you time, money, and effort that you wanna throw my way would be greatly appreciated!

Goal: My goal is to have this done by this day next year. I dont plan on rushing her, so be patient with me guys XD

To anyone who creates armor: I would be interested in price quotes for the chest plates and ab plates.  I realize thier quite pointy, and its because Im not a huge fan of the "mando bra", so the more angles and less curves, the better. I've worked a bit with materials myself and just cant seem to get it right... (more info will be given when PM'd)

To anyone who makes belts: or anyone who knows someone who makes belts, if you think you could make what I have drawn above (minus the pouches, I already have those I can mount myself), throw me a price quote please!

TL:DR: Am I pretty yet? + I need stuff.

Im sooo diggin the armor. Colors are awesome and great design in general! Not to mention the staff as your main weapon, totally cool in my book. Ull probably need to talk to others who know what the hell they are talking about when it comes down to "official rules" with the staff, but its still freakin sweet to me lol

I don't see the staff as being an issue.  It's not a lightsaber...so you're good there.

That's a sick looking kit!!!  I'm generally not a fan of those brighter colors, but in this case... consider me a fan!  I'm excited to see this come together.

Nice concept   Hard to tell how the final outcome is going to look, obviously.  But given the fact that you intend this build to take at least a year, i do have high hopes   8)

For your custom belt, i highly recommend contacting  Brayton and Amy at Corellian Imports .  They did my custom Kama, and a great deal more stuff that they havent listed on their site. They'll do just about anything. AMAZING workmanship.

For chest plates, look into female dress forms or mannequins.

@Ghez: Thanks Vod! I love the melee combat aspect of Techstaffs, so I really wanted to take that rout. Im glad im not the only one excited about it!

@Taglar: Force sensitive mando... -snickers- yeah, saber to staff combat is about as far as ill ever get to a Jedi (or want to...) XD

@Novoc: I plan on weathering every piece to almost above recognition, so even though the design shows bright colors, they are going to be very muted in the end product.

@Rokeim: Thank you for the tip vod! Ill definitely look into them!

@Sarsk: All the mannequins I've found have been too "soft", im not a huge fan of armor looking like a bra, but if I could find a mannequin that had rougher edges you best believe i'd jump at it XD

If you don't want it soft looking, you'll want to go with a fiberglass solution. Just remember that every other part of your armor is going to have the "soft" look unless you go with super bulky halo looking stuff.

mando armor is weird in that it is both curvy in places and angular in others, so it shouldn't look out of place to have an angular chestplate

A while ago RedKraytDragon was planning on doing chest armor comissions based on the above Deathwatch picture. I know he had to put it on hold, but you could pm him to see when he's planning on picking it back up. If the wait's not too long, this might be what you're looking for! His work is always top-notch! (I debated the plate styles for a while, and although I ended up liking the cupped armor for aesthetics and size purposes, RKD would have been my first choice for comissioning angled plates.)

From a color-theory perspective, I would suggest adding a bit more purple to your shoulder/neck area. Your helmet is heavy, but there is a large green patch on your upper chest/neck region that feels a little out of place to me. The kama and lower body have a nice mix of the two, which I think would look a little neater.

Thank you for the feed back. I was actually thinking of adding something in, but im not sure exactly what I should do to make it more even. I'm thinking of moving where I want the Wampa Clan logo to go to my right shoulder pad and add some purple lining to the top of my breast plates.
