So, after much planning and a LOT of advice, I am finally starting my WIP threads. I'm going with a sort of what I am calling "Beach Bum Beskar'gam". It will have some influences from the Tusken Raiders. Sand is sand right... Anyway, I got my boot wraps done and my boot armor done. The armor still has to be mounted to the boots, but I am sort of stuck there. I know I could just bolt it on with no worries (other than the possibility of added difficulties putting the boots on and removing them), but my boss had the idea of making leather straps for mounting the armor in a less permanent fashion. As I pictured it in my head, I sort of thought the idea would look really cool. The plates would all be riveted to each other, but there would be a belt at the top (secured under attached loops on the top of the boot) and a strap system that would mount the bottom plate to the bottom area of the boot. I'll draw that up and post it later on. In the mean time, here is the pic of the boots as they are now, with their armor sitting beside them.

There is a bit of weathering done to the fabric and some salt stains (which you really cant see in the photo) on the boots themselves. The armor has not been weathered yet. I'm waiting for all of my armor to be done before the full weathering process.
EDIT- The wrapping is secured with E-6000 and believe me, it is most certainly a very sticky substance. Having not worked with it before, I made sure to apply plenty of pressure with my hands to the boots... and now I have nicknamed myself "Cetare’ gaan" or loosely translated from Mando'a "Boot Hands"
