I actually have started work already on my helmet, and I'm pretty confident in my sewing skills to make my vest and neck seal. The color scheme I'm thinking will be a khaki color for the main with a subdued burgundy red with gunmetal accents. My thought is this is a desert mando and he will be weathered appropriately to match. I don't have it drawn in, but I will be doing a backpack/jet pack of some kind. Any thoughts on the design? The gauntlets and helmet are subject to change as time goes on-i had some thoughts on a bucket that were somewhere between the mcq concept and a sith stalker, but I'm not sold on it entirely

And the work on the helmet- it's actually father along than this but i dont have pics. It's almost done with bondo actually

Yea, it was a concept I played with a lot but I cant think of a way to make it work how I want it to. I don't want to cut the t visor short and all the concepts that I made where it split the rebreather just looked like too much stuff pasted onto a mando head. The full body concept was my last design with the traditional helm, and if I modify it in any way will be much more subtle than a rebreather.

Yes, that's usually how it works out. Its hard to incorporate something that doesn't belong on a mando helmet.

Did a real quick Color concept tonight- forgive the cheesy Colorado job, I did it on my kindle not in photoshop since I'm on vacation. Anything that looks purple is really supposed to be dark grey. Comments and criticism are why I'm here!

Agreed. Don't clutter up your face with garbage. Art looks really great.

Yep looks good. Nothing looks better than a straight up Mando helmet. Besides rebreathers and such are supposed to be built into them. I can never understand why someone would want to do a Mando and change the helmet, Afterall it's the iconic piece we all fell in love with.   ;)

Not to steal this thread but hostile enviroment brigade says you need a rebreather to be approved.,not sure if you thought about that just wondering. Also kit idea looks great like the eye paint

Out of state until the 22nd so I don't get to show off just yet. I'm going to get that helmet evened out and smoothed then I need to make my garage into a suitable work space, as right now I'm doing all my bondo work on a tall cardboard box. A dedicated work area will greatly increase the consistency of my work, and the wife gave me a decent sized budget for it too.

So-work is coming but just not yet.
