Alrighty, time for more blastsword progress!
First off, gluing the hilt:

You'll notice that parts of the guard have been lightly sanded, just because I didn't know how hard it would be to get to them once they were glued on. I'm glad I did, finishing them up was kind of tricky!
Here's a shot of them completely attached:

They also double as sights for looking down the barrel, which I thought was cool, being me. I doubt this thing would even have enough range to justify sights, but I have 'em!
I also added two thin pieces of wood to either side of the grip, to give it a bit more dimension and make it a tad easier to handle with gloves on.
I went on to finish up the sanding on the guard, giving it a slight edge that lined up with the blade.

I'm rather pleased with how it turned out, for some reason I was really worried about messing this part up. Might needs some touch-up work before I declare it officially done.
I went on to glue on the hammer and the trigger with some wood glue, and here it is as of right now:

It's getting close to being done, which has me excited. Still toying with the idea of putting lights in it, but in the interest of time I think I'm just gonna fill in the gap between the pipe and sight with some epoxy, glue on all the fittings, and finish up the front sight. What do you guys think?
