What kind of paper did you transfer it onto? If it's normal printer paper you might have difficulty with it popping up in places, whenever I've tried using thin paper like that in the past it ends up being more trouble than it's worth.

What Haran said. Transferring that to thicker paper will help.

No problem. I've had a lot of experience with stencils and what not. Here's the only survivor of my 3 year old shoulder pad made of cardboard.

I'm sure you can imagine how small the skull I cut out was. Less than 3''.  8)

Update and problem:

So here's my cape on me, but the problem is the skull stencil is still to low on me. I measured before painting on the stencil and it still seems like it didn't do much because the Skull is still to low. It shouldn't be going past my back. Should I trim a couple inches off at the top and the sides so it lines up with my collar plate?

Yeah something tells me I'll have to do some trimming on the cape.

:o is that a cape or a bed sheet? trim a bit, but not to make the sides line up. give it about 5-6 inches past the collar on either side, maybe more if you prefer. and probably trim the top all the way down to those two tab thingies (a short cape isn't a bad thing if you can pull it off)

 I know right? Fabric is a funny thing, you think you have the right sizes and measurements and once you get it back its the size of a bed sheet.
Just to clarify what you said, is this what it should look like with the trimming along the red lines/

yup that looks 'bout right. maybe a little more length up top (so it's above the tabs more).

Update on cape:

New cape with stencil. White gel paint marker used to outline the edges makes it pop out.

Still not done with the weathering yet.

I want to make it look dirty around the edges should I use brown paint?

Oya ner vod,
In response to your PM, I thought I would share this with all.

A while ago I stumbled upon a video by TK409 on weathering Boba Fett's cape ... and I looked it up again for your viewing pleasure:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b046u98yX_c

When I made my capes I put a rolled hem across the top and 2/3 the way down the sides because i was planning on shredding the bottom.

I used the weathering order from the video for my capes:
1) Shred it (using a roll cutter and scissors in places for tatters on the bottom and blaster holes)
2) Wash it (removes the just cut look and adds some fine weathering)
3) Spray it (use the weathering colors you plan to use on the rest of your kit)

I used desert like weathering colors on my kit aka brown, tan and a little bit of black here and there ... the weathering colors you use would vary depending on the environment you are in.

I Hope this answers your question and keep up the good work!  8)
