Thanks guys! There's still some more scratches I've got to paint on. I'm going to do those by hand with a brush because it'll be more accurate than masking and airbrusing.

So progress has been pretty slow...
I'm still waiting on my armor to arrive so I haven't felt much urgency, unfortunately.

Here's where I am on the helmet:

I think once this is done, since it's been so time intensive, everything else will start moving really fast.

VERY nice! I am still a little scared to take that helmet paint job on yet, but i bought the air brush equipment and I have an extra ASOK waiting for me to find the time and build the courage. My ESB Fett will take 5 years at the rate I am currently going but I don't mind :)

Thanks everyone! I'm going to be super relieved when this is done. It's incredibly detail oriented and time intensive. Every time I take on one of these pieces, I gain a new respect for the people who do them on commission.

It's Humbrol 78. I'm getting all my colors from the Terminal Fettler tutorial.

I'm kind of in limbo waiting on my armor.  It also doesn't help that I just moved to a place with no work space currently set up and started two new jobs.

So I'll have to live vicariously through you for now  :laugh:

It's missing the decals and I somehow managed to misplace my rangefinder stalk...  :rolleyes:

I love how gritty that helmet is.  I think it's dirtier than the screen used one, but my preference with Boba is for things to be dirty! Great misting and light scratches.

Yeah it definitely is much dirtier than the screen version.  I couldn't help it, it's just my nature to over-do weathering :laugh: I'll rub it down with some steel wool and soften it all up.

First armor plate painted (pre weathering).  I'm testing out this Spruce Green to see if I like it.

It's definitely different from my helmet, which is good.  I think once I weather it all up it will match the references better.
