Voice amp help
« on: May 21, 2013, 12:19 AM »
Hey guys, just getting Ready for a big con this saturday. I currently don't have the funds to get a voice amp but I do have one of the cheaper $10 amps. The ones with the plastic cover. Its a Smalltalk ST2 without it's plastic guard. Its the only amp i have at the moment. The wires are getting loose between the mic itself and the wires, which I'll use solder to repair that.

Is there any tricks I can do it that won't require much electric work (since I'm not very good with electronics).

<woudlve posted as soon as I saw this  :-[        and the problem's probably solved or given up on now...  >

ease of soldering:   coat both wires in solder, "pre-tinning" the wires you can solder them together much more easily.     If your getting a lot of static through the voice amp i could be EMI(electromagnetic interferance) you can get little farride static filters, often in computers their the little black rings that wires are looped around) that helps cut out interferance and is great to use on listening devices with fully exposed circuits as well.
