MOAR UPDATES!!

Finally started in on the Kama.  These need some edging and light weathering.


I also drilled larger holes for permanently attaching the straps for the shnees.
And a near-full kit up.







Need to finish the backplate, still, and make sure I fix any gaps and float on the chestplate.  Also need to either make new holsters, or find ways to attach my current ones.  I also need to keep an eye on posture, and fix my shoulders, as they are unevenly placed in these pics.  Bringing the left one down seems the most logical way to go, as it's too close to the chest plates.

Yes, you can.

Also, going back to the old steel shoulders.  As much as I liked the look of the shells, they just weren't comfortable for long periods.

The next step is to finish this:

A Ruana Cloak.  Gotta hem the edges, then run it through a couple cold wash cycles.

I made a friend.
Meet Earl, my duck tape dummy, with PVC stand.  Quick and dirty build, made as a temporary table display.

And working on a set of hip armor, aka Tassets.



And finally, pics of the measurements for the ab plate.


Roughly 1" between the bottom of the plate, and the bottom of the vest.  I keep getting distracted by the offset of the chicago screws I used.

Update:
Shaped them better.  200f water works wonders for shaping 3mm sintra!




Still trying to decide if I want them over or under the kama.

Thinking of making a gaffi stick.  Need to check out a couple build videos, and start making sketches.
