Custom Macrobinoculars

I have here a basic run through of a commonly seen Binocular toy converted for MMCC Use. Its from Spy toy Kits from Wal-mart and Walgreens from what I have seen. Enjoy the worklog/WIP.

Major points to be Addressed for this to pass CRLs and BRLs
-- Screw Holes need filling/Seams Sanded/filled
-- Greeblies need to added
-- Make the Lens Sets look Star Warsy/SWARSY

I added Greeblies and made a Triple Lens Setup, used Sintra panels to give it Grips, filled Screwholes with locktite plumbers epoxy and sanded/filled seam on sides. Added Nobs and Dials, and then a Desert Paint Scheme.

and Finished up with Desert Paint Scheme.

I'll toss some other ideas out there for bases to work from. These are Star Wars toys that have been released over the last fifteen years...

There are also a couple of older offerings from Spy Gear that I've used. These:

...for a couple o Scout Troopers. A good size to fit in one o the waist pockets. There were two versions, these, which I painted white with black PlastiDip for the grip surface in the indents, and black ones with red lenses that I did for Shadow Scouts, which I painted... well... blacker, with gray PlastiDip for the grip surface. Kept the detailing minor -- some scuffs and scratches, a couple low-profile greeblies, and Imperial cog emblems in the center recess of the focusing wheel.

The other Spy Gear piece I used was one of these:

...for my Storm Commando build, since their waist pouches are bigger than the Scouts'.

All of these I've found at Goodwill at one point or another for a couple bucks. I have three of those Luke MicroMachines playset binocs, if anyone wants one.

Oh wow! Now there's some nostalgia. I haven't seen that in quite a long time.

Awesome job Deimos, those came out great.     I always love a good set Macrobinoculars... :D

I actually have a Sub Assault that I have been working on a conversion for. Still waiting on that one special greeblie to pull it together nicely.
