had a couple of ppl insisting that the left mandible is WHITE on the BHG. I painted it dark grey the same as my top dome area.
Can someone confirm this?

Hello,

That was me that commented (and pointed out I had only edited part of your picture to show where we had been saying the white was needed)

There are 4 different helmet variants for the Mauldalorians & Captains and each of them are different

The Captain

This has the white cheeks, black upper mandible, then red and black tattoo design with the horns.

Grunt - Kenobi Variant

Black cheeks with red tattoo design, white upper mandibles, red and black tattoo design across the helmet

Grunt - Vertical Handprint

Dark Charcoal cheeks, white upper mandibles (both sides), lighter dome, red banding

Grunt - Diagonal Handprint

White cheeks (that are weathered dirtier), dark charcoal upper mandibles, lighter dome, red banding

---------------
It seems you have opted for the Grunt - Vertical Handprint variant so it would indeed have the white mandibles both sides.

What you're mistaking for grey is white that has been weathered to reveal parts of the underlayer of the grunt A the one with straight hand print, I was also under the impression that the dome has white in it too as the hand print would blend in with grey

, this CRL is for the Captain only and ideally isn't a conversation thread, pretty sure you should have started a separate enquiry thread so a discussion could be made.

What's the proper spacing for the armor?

Thats mostly done by eye to suit the individual to the visual references, we're all different as we are human but this is from animated so they are not and the spacing is uniform.

Just gotta use your own judgement in relation to the visual references you can get ;)

What's the proper spacing for the armor?

Animated character spacing should be a little tighter than  the real world counterpart, taking visual references into account. Symmetry is key to the animated look, with an acceptable larger tolerance on the chest + ab plate to match references.

It's spelled "Canon", not "Cannon".

(SHHH!!! I found the secret to getting OM approved!)
