Speaker Mounting?

Where's a good place to mount the speaker? I have it mounted inside the helmet right how and I'm
getting some horrific feedback. It's annoying the heck out of my cat.

Who's did you purchase? Mine has a 3.5mm plug for headphones/earbuds/whatever you want to use with a 3.5mm plug. I believe Dresdon's has a 3.5mm plug as well, so you should be able to disconnect the speaker from his and just use earphones

Why would I want to connect earphones to a voice amplifier in place of a speaker?

I bought this one, removed it from the case and mounted it inside the helmet

Is there perhaps someone else who can answer where I can put my helmet voice amplifier speaker that won't cause feedback and so others can hear me. Or perhaps a different type of speaker that won't cause feedback? Right now I just have a 2½" regular speaker.

Thank you  :D

If you want to keep the speaker in your helmet so that you have your voice come from it; did you ever consider a throat mic? I was planning on using something like this so that it can pic up my voice easily without picking up all the extra ambient sounds. You also could use your belt pouch which the throat mike would make easier to run under your armor.

A talking cod plate!?   :P  *j/k*

I have my speakers mounted inside my helmet as well.  You need to seal the edges of the speakers against the inside of the helmet.  This will help eliminate some of the feedback.  Another item I found was adding a better microphone.  I added a Clone helmet mic to my buy'ce and that eliminated most of the feedback.

I had the idea of extending the mic cord and running the speaker behind the chest plate with some slots cut in it. Then it would still come from 'around' your head area, but not give you feedback issues to the mic.
