Ok i know its been a month, but ive been distracted by my rifle build!!!
Anyways, here is an update and this is all about the weathering.
I have read different posts about weathering "White" parts and decided i wouldd go with ConDar's coffee stain attempt.
So here are the before pics:
Heres the Coffee:
Heres the Soaking stage:
And now layed out in an old sheet to be tumble dried, with loads of extra old sheets to pack the machine out
(Wrapped tightly in the sheet as not to damage the tumble dryer). I did this method as Manchester UK is around 14c currently and not very warm.
And here is the finished coffee dying method all dyed
So what do you guys think? honestly?
I know the armour will cover up the laces, apart from the bottom two eye loops which ill wrap in White webbing (and weather) to make it look like straps
I do have 2 questions though, in relation to this:
1, How do I protect the weathering from running or washing away. Like if i'm trooping and it starts to rain.
2, How do I weather the rubber soles? I haven't got a clue or even know where to search.
Thank you so much for any and all future replies, you Vode's are amazing
