Braoyn's Beskar'gam Planning
« on: May 27, 2014, 12:39 PM »
Hey! I'm working on my first mando, Braoyn, the bird brain beast Hunter. I'm going for a heavy armored juggernaut based on the Veractyl. Lots of bright bright colors and featehrs. Faboulouss.
The bucket is modified with horns as eyebrows, treated to look like they are comming out as if the bucket was the skin.
I took the Veractyl beak and split it into two parts. One big part, which is most of the upper beak on my right shoulder, and the small beak thats left for the left shoulder. Feathers underneath them, to give the veractyl look ofcourse!
My left hand will carry a crushgaunt, covered in animal leather (probably green, to carry on the veractyl theme) and Animal teeth and claws to add a bit more of a punch.
I also started to work on some weaponry sense I want a full arsenal for this guy. He likes Axes. a lot.
Even his blaster has an axe! and for those pesky cute little animals, some small throwing axes!
Looking forward to your feedback.

Going for a modern Beast hunter, using pelts and animal parts for the weaponry/kit.

Modern era cool ;) some of those plate designs look very EC to me so tread carefully vod. Might be worth PMing the App team just to make sure that you are not going to run foul of the Era cross over rules

Hello! Sorry for the long haitus.
After carefull planning and reasearching into my previous idea, (The Veractyl inspired beast hunter,) I changed it up a bit. Completely, actually.
I'm thinking of doing an Aquatic based mando. Scuba diver of sorts.

Complete with a net as a sash, breathing tubes and the not-drawn-because-I-wanted-to-update-already Oxigen tanks/and propellors on the back.
Instead of a flight suit, I'd use one of those fancy skin tight Scuba diving suits. I'll have to contact the App team, to see if that's a possibility. Would love to get some feedback!

Do the plates fit me well, or should I bring them down on the sides?
*More pictures of the helmet comming soon*

Glad to see the new changes, the old one was looking like it may cross eras. As for plate spacing, you'll need to move the chest and a up towards the collar. Snap another pic (perhaps with you more in frame if you can?) And we can go from there :)

Will do. I'll snap it tomorrow.

On to my suit. Sense my theme is aquatic, I plan to be using a Diving suit instead of the typical Flight suit.
This is the one I have in mind.

Anto my helmet!
I'm the "Do first ask questions later" kind of guy. I made my bucket from a bicicle helmet, some pvc and one of those home depot buckets.
I love my design, but I'm afraid I might have made the T to pointy. I personally like it, though. Opinions?

Two things about the dive suit....make sure all of the logos are covered and make sure you're not going to die from the heat.

Actually walked with it for like 10 minutes, and while I was a bit sweaty it wasn't really that hot.
Modifications to the design would be done to cover up the logos.

10 minutes isn't a lot of time relative to what you'll be doing at a troop.  Remember this kit has to be bearable for outside troops in the summer think at least 4 hours.  Inside troops are usually in large convention rooms with hundreds of people milling about...they get hot.  Just something to think about.

This.  You won't really know anything about how your kit really feels and holds up until your first troop.
