Sinny's 1st Helmet WIP (Pic Heavy)

Hi All, thought i'd start a WIP for my lid, its a Death Watch lid that i bought from Saz (legend)

So, i've been throwing around colour schemes for ages but i've decided to go with this...


here comes the pic heavy part...Primer

then a coating of Silver...

After the silver and a coat of Masking fluid a coat of dark grey false primer is added...

and the first coating of white and more masking fluid...




Then a coating of black and even more masking fluid...

then its ready for a coating of orange and yes you've guessed it more masking fluid...





and the final weathering... removing the masking fluid using the softer side of velcro (hoops)

Indeed, wanted the helmet to look as if it has history to it,  looking at it you can see it tells a story of battles past.

Progress Update: Helmet has had a dark wash to bring out the detail and make it a bit grubby...

It was about and hour if my kit was anything to go by, you gotta allow the paint to cure first or you rip up the fresh still wet paint removing it
