Just an update. I've closed the poll. Happy with the winner, it's one if my favs. Made enquiries with Saz about the helmet. Found a light grey flight suit. Found a foamex supplier. All moving along nicely. Just need funds and time ha ha.

Also used the name generator, didn't show any I liked. So mixed and matched. He will now be known as Vash Noth.

As a base I think it looks fine, but needs more design added, its a little plain

Yeah, think I've done colours the wrong way round. It'll be battle damaged of course, possibly kill stripes too.

Grey main, with red and black suporting would look better, kill stripes will look even better.
battle damage and weathering is mandatory imo

That's a beautifully even curve. However I have no idea if it fits the curve of you. Selfie your belly with plate and we shall see

Amazing what a cardboard tube can do.

I'll do a above shot in the morning and post it. This was a test with 3mm foamex to see if it held shape.

Might just need a tiny bit more bend on those outer edges, but I'd say that's a pretty successful test overall
And lol, I tend to use a jamjar for mine as I use 6mm

Changes finally made to the neck/shoulder plate. Is this better?? If so means I can start with the armour.

I say your good to start. Plates may need some trimming once cut, but it is easier to remove an inch than add an inch.

Had to revise the colour scheme a little due to flight suit being darker than I thought.

Work finally carried out in the helmet. T cut out, dome sanded, needs a but if filler on the dome and somevib the right T. Steady progress.

Just a quick question. Is spacing on this ok? I understand that the plate on the left "sticks" out a bit. But I need to shape it further. The neck/collar is fitted. Just checking size and spacing is still ok?

Spacing looks good between the chest plates and collar, but the right chest plate looks a little out of alignment with the outside edge of the collar plate.

Looks good, evening up the spacing will deal with the chest and shoulder misalignment (tape is hard to keep straight). Get it all fully shaped and throw it on again as shaping can adjust angles of plate edges. Best to trim any little bits once it's fitted.
