Changes finally made to the neck/shoulder plate. Is this better?? If so means I can start with the armour.

I say your good to start. Plates may need some trimming once cut, but it is easier to remove an inch than add an inch.

Had to revise the colour scheme a little due to flight suit being darker than I thought.

Work finally carried out in the helmet. T cut out, dome sanded, needs a but if filler on the dome and somevib the right T. Steady progress.

Just a quick question. Is spacing on this ok? I understand that the plate on the left "sticks" out a bit. But I need to shape it further. The neck/collar is fitted. Just checking size and spacing is still ok?

Spacing looks good between the chest plates and collar, but the right chest plate looks a little out of alignment with the outside edge of the collar plate.

Looks good, evening up the spacing will deal with the chest and shoulder misalignment (tape is hard to keep straight). Get it all fully shaped and throw it on again as shaping can adjust angles of plate edges. Best to trim any little bits once it's fitted.

I still reckon they look about right once you get them shaped instead of sticking up off the vest.

Go take a look at Reyn's wip thread, he's also pretty thin and you can see where he put the shaping on his plates as I reckon yours need the same sort of curvature.

I wouldn't take more than 1/8" off all around, it's pretty close to the right size. I do think it needs the tiny trim though. And of course, more shaping like Kris said will help a bunch  too =)

I'll do a reshape today before I trim and see how it looks.

EDIT: Reshaping seems to have done the trick. Though I now need to trim my ab plate at the bottom. Thoughts please before I attempt to fix these bloody things with snaps.
