Thanks vod. I looked at your wip/build for reference seeing as youre the nearest size to me I've seen.

Seeing as I'm waiting the foam padding to arrive. I've worked on my codpiece. What's the best way to fix this? I'm thinking of attaching it to by belt with press studs and one press stud right on the crotch? Other suggestions welcome.

Here's the codpiece when I was shaping. I've since glued the smaller plate on the front.

Solved the fixing issue. Glued two bel clips off a mobile (cell) phone case. Works perfect. Also glued front on and body filled all around the joint. Sand it tomorrow.

Codpiece now painted and weathered. No detailing on this piece of armour so easy enough .

Thank you!!

Nicely done sir!

Thanks! A question regarding the shoulder plates. With me have very skinny arms / shoulders is it ok for me to use smaller plates than those in the templates provided in the medium size. in essence id be using the small size templates for shoulders and likely knees as opposed to medium?

Some small setbacks today. Padding arrived to fill my concave chest this has thrown more spanners than fixes into the works. without padding it looks crap.with padding it looks better but still looks "off".

I got frustrated with it and now leaving it until after the weekend. Have an extra rib is no fun.

I don't think it looks that bad with the padding, the only issue might be that the chest plates might curve too much on the outside. But otherwise it's decent.

Primed the chest plates as the Foamex is white it's hard to judge. Opinions please.

Added Vok'chi clan logo to one shoulder and a black rectangle to the other (for squad/brigade tag). Also dirtied them up.

First knee plate made. Test fitting tonight then hopefully spray it. Then make the other.

The knee looks good. But i have a touch of advice. At the bottom front of the knees. i'd suggest you round off that angle there. then if you go around the bottom edge of the knee with a heat gun and bend in the foamex inwards to create a bevel on the edge. it can really make a pair of simple knees look great.

The orange here indicates where to heat and the red shows which direction to bevel the edge. Hopefully that makes my explanation clearer.

I create the bevel by putting on some thick gloves and pinching the sintra at the edge and bending it inwards.

I use the same method on my thigh plates, cod, the top of my shins and the sides of my back plate behind my shoulder blades. it is particularly useful on the back plate as it removes or lessens the crease that often appears in that spot, which is caused by the lack of  compound curve where the horizontal curve of the bottom of the back meets the vertical curve that starts mid back and goes up over the shoulder. this creates a slight compound curve, but a lot of the time it doesn't create quite enough to fully remove the issue.

Sorry that got a bit longer than i intended it to but hopefully the info is useful. If you check the photos I'm tagged in by Cassandra on facebook you can see one of my back plates in better detail.
