Custom Orbital Drop jetpack from Red Fist

Greetings, vode!

I'd like to introduce our brand new jetpack made speacially for orbital dropping forces. I had the idea of this concept long ago. And yesterday I pick up the pencil and draw some sketches. I won't show you these ones   :laugh:
But our great friend gnomKolin has adapted my drawings and... here it is!



Also he had builded the 3d model of this device. Together we've made some design edits. In November I'm going to start building process of this device.

It will  be great if you'll craft this JP ;) we have shared pep-model here. It is  rather simple for assembling, check it :)

Of course, some of the functional ties are needed to craft manually, but... we all can do it :)

It would not be difficult to incorporate 2 small pneumatic pistons into a CO2 system to open the wings.  Their weight would close them.

but if I am free to ask what program did u use to make those 3D designs because then I can modifie it for my WIP kit

Try to use Pepakura Designer or Pepakura Viewer.

To make 3D model I used Autodesk 3dsMax 2014. Then imported in Pepakura

Looks very nice. :)
Personally, not only would I want the wings to fold out, but I would probably want them to slide into one another to reduce space when not in use. (think of Buzz Lightyear's wings)
