I decided to start my kit with weapons, figuring that I'd rather screw up a cheap toy gun instead of a helmet.

I found this at Dollar General for $5. I thought it would be a good first project. Below are the things I'll do first. I will of course be filling and sanding all markings.

Any ideas and suggestions are much very much welcome!

I'd shorten the clip to maybe 1.5 inches sticking out. Add a tank scope. Or three, you can never go wrong with multiple scopes...let's see how this goes.

Got it gutted and cut off the superfluous parts. It's too cold to work in the shop, so there isn't a lot I can get done right now.

Due to the lousy weather and general life getting in the way, I haven't done much. Finally got a chance to work on this yesterday.

I found this for $8 at Dollar General store. I thought that parts could be used.



After some cutting and gluing, I now have this:



I'm still trying to figure out how to do a foregrip on the barrel. Any ideas or tips are appreciated.

Warm weather at last!
Got a couple of hours of work done on it. I'm not sure about the extension of the grip though. It might come off, that is, if the Liquid Nails holds it anyway.

Ok, I eed help. I have used Goop and Loctite Epoxy Plastic Bonder, but the barrel keeps falling off. What should I be using?

I have no idea what it originally shot, but there were mechanisms for shooting something in there. In fact, on the larger handgun, right above the grip and trigger is a piece with "teeth" on it. That was part of the firing mechanism. I like the way it looked, so I trimmed it to fit and glued that sucker on! The only markings on it were that is was made in China and the name of some company I've never heard of.
