Your first step should be finding something to be a suitable dome piece and figure out what you need to do to modify it. Look at the other threads in this section for ideas. I'd suggest a skateboard helmet or a hardhat like the one Eitanya is using for her Ninja Thief scratch build, as that hardhat will be easier to work with. Point is smoother surface is easier to work with. You also have the option of making your own dome with the templates provided by the MMCC here. Now I can't stress enough that this is going to be a bit of a pain at times, there are going to be some things that will be hard for you get being 13. So start with that If you don't know how something works, feel free to ask for help here and for sure from a parent or guardian.

Best of luck to you vod, I'm eager to see what you make.

I did a skate helmet 5 gal bucket build.  I did multiple google searches for mando bucket helmet, diy mando bucket, scratch built mando, and the likes.  Checked out the related threads and saw what others had done and got tips from them.

Once you have an idea of which route you want to take amd have the materials, there is nothing else to do but try building and experience some trial and error.

Well, with you doing a + shaped visor, i believe that would kick you into the Crusader Era of CRL, so i would take a look over there and see what you can see. Of course, ask someone like Bowfanny for confirmation on that, i imagine He'd have a much better idea of where to go with that little bit.
As for scratch building a bucket, yeesh. I've never done it, but if you want to do a + visor the Forge Props demagol is by far the most affordable bucket i've seen for crusade era (75 USD) and I'm in the process of putting one into a modern kit.

And you mentioned you're 13? Not to sound stereotypical but please please please make sure you have a parent help you out when you are working on your kit! i would hate hear about an accident, and they'll possibly be familiar with the tools you'll need to use.

Good advice, not just the tools but also the materials used, some like paints and glues, shaping plastics and pvc can all give of harmful vapours / fumes
Be careful vod, good luck with your build

That's probably for the best vod. Nothing wrong with being ambitious, it's always good to get some experience before trying a more complex style though. You'll get there though, I'm sure of it. Regardless you have a vast source of support here if you need any advice, ideas or help.

Not a bad idea to start easy, learn the do's and don't, then build the one you want 2nd.
