Bucket Help!
« on: May 10, 2015, 11:11 AM »
Hello all, I'm just getting started, ran into a few questions.
1. I was planning on using copper as my main color, and after reading some weathering tutorials I cannot decide if copper should be the base color, or if a silverfish color should be? So that when you are done and can see the layers, any help would be greatly appreciated.

copper , silver , or bronze they are all acceptable base metal colors. its a matter of your preference.. while a lot of people opt to go with a silver since thats what jango's and boba's metal color was  don't that let be the sole reason for you to go with it. I myself have used a base metal of copper and then sprayed silver ( aluminum ) over it for my armor plates . my helmet has a base metal color of copper with a gold "inlay" in the engravings

I like the idea. weathering wise it gives you the opportunity to add more colour to your kit, for example copper gives off a green patina. Essentially, something Like this...
