I'm back in the good ole USA and unfortunately off of R&R. So after work I have working on my armor again!
Here we go!
Disclaimer: The camera I am using on my tablet does my armor no justice with its pics, but it should suffice!
Last time I showed you what my metal armor looked like once I was finished cutting and shaping the armor. Now we are on the the beginning stages of painting.

My first attempt at knee caps were a failure. My second and third were too. So i broke down and ordered a set of sintra knee caps online and have to say i was impressed by the quality. Here they are without the dart launchers installed, and before I covered them in rub and buff.

After a coat of rub and buff was put on there and my hands lol

I forgot to take a picture of the armor with my second coat of paint on it. On top of the tan, about a foot away from each item, I sprayed a faded black/ gray rustoleum spray paint onto the pieces of armor. It gave them a slightly weathered and scorched look to them. The following pictures are of the weathering i started today on the chest plates, diamond, and shoulder plates.
Here is a quick pic of the second coating of paint. You can see how the black/ gray gives it a less than new look.

Here is a pic of the chest plates and diamond. I used a dremel tool on the sheet metal with a cutting wheel for most of this.

Left chest piece.

Right chest piece.

Right shoulder piece. Scratches made with a dremel coarse sanding bit.

Left should primarily done with the cutting wheel.

I made it look as though something scratched and gouged the center of the chest plates and diamond.

A better shot of the diamond. Used a cutting wheel to gouge out some metal and create the scratched look.

I also have this 3D printed pistol from the Star Wars: Rebels Series. I am going to either do some major work to it or scrap it and use my buddy's CNC machine to make a pistol out of a block of aluminum. Only time will tell what I'll end up doing. This is what i have for now I suppose.

The minor scratches were made by rubbing the plates in the rocks in my yard and on the driveway.
That is all i have done right now. Hopefully ya'll like it and I can have some more pics uploaded here soon for ya'll. Happy Hunting!
