Any progress?? I want to see those stick grenades in action, they look like they'll be cool!

I'm liking the magnets for sealing the gauntlets. My gauntlets barely hold together with the dumb velcro attachments I tried, so I may have to look into magnets.

Not much progress, I moved earlier this week and only got a coat of primer on the stick grenades. There isn't anywhere for me to work on my stuff at my new apartment. Maybe on a Sunday night when the staff aren't around I can do some quick spray painting in an empty part of the parking lot.

I am heading down to my parents place at the end of the month for Tampa Bay Comic Con and will work on them there. I did get the Sudoku game thing and will debut that at TBCC as well.

I was gonna use the pentagonalish piece as the 'Get Over Here!' dart for a Scorpion costume but I'm gonna put it instead on the end of the door chain as a counter for troops. One side will be a Mythosaur skull with a broken tusk while the other side has tally marks for troops.

Some of my velcro ripped off my vest for a shoulder but that's an easy fix.

I'm gonna get a few things as buttons near where my thumb is, some rod type greebs in between the top two connector pieces, and maybe some rings around the connector in the middle. I need to find some greebs though, maybe hit up radioshack.

I think all the ones by me closed (sadly) even one that wasn't on their shutdown list. Although I do have a mom & pop Electronics store relatively close.

Yeah, it's like a 10 minute walk from my apartment. I'll hit it up after I get Subway tomorrow (same shopping complex). I'm gonna rip open the sudoku game and see if anything is greeb worthy in there too.

Long time no update, I know but, Good News Everyone!

I will be grinding out these updates throughout the next week for TBCC next Saturday/Sunday. I will be heading down to my parents place on Tuesday evening to do the paint and other stuff I can't do at my new apartment.

I have the nuts and bolts to mount the earcaps to my bucket. I'm gonna be doing this kinda setup (below) with the bolt for the RF stalk being the piece that secures that whole ear area. The boltheads will be sunken in to the earcaps so they are all flush. It's gonna allow all the caps to be removed for an easy repaint if I ever change up the paint scheme or if I sell it.

Also, I'm gonna upgrade from my knife to a beskad, 1 ft blade with a 3 inch handle. I will keep the tanto style of it and I will most likely create a sheath the same way the W35 holsters are made. On that point, I have yet to get the faux leather to cover those.

I got a few things to add to my stick grenades but haven't put them on. Just some stuff to use as buttons, still need to hit up that radio shack and take apart the Sudoku game (tiny screws without a tiny screwdriver).

Stop reminding me, I'm trying to finish this by Thursday to drive down to Tampa for the con. I'll have pics then with what I have done and will finish the rest by Halloween and won't upgrade again until after The Force Awakens.

The seppeku game won't be too fancy just a paint job.

Edit: Got my ears and RF all mocked up along with my kama back from my seamstress (mother).
5 bolts (1/4 inch) that are affixed to the ears are held in place by nuts on the inside allowing them all to be removeable. I will be adding washers on the inside and using a hacksaw to trim them down some. They will all be black save the RF which will be red.
The kama has an inch wide red trim added to the front and bottom edges. The trim stops where I slide my belt through and doesn't go into the slit in the back.

Painting for the bucket, datapad, and mythosaur invasion tracker is complete save blackwash. I am not working on the beskad or the grenades yet and will wait for later to do those when I'm not rushed.

Sneak peek for the beskad.

Disregard all the drawn on triangles. The two that are already rough drilled out will be the only ones done. It's still rough and will probably do a black coat on the blade sans the edge and inside the cutouts. I will also probably run a small groove across the width where the separation between blade and handle will be currently a black line.
