While i patiently await my application results I've had some time to burn.... I've thrown together some quick wip photos of a few projects for my kit.
First we have a simple cutting torch (for those hard to access areas) :p
Started off with an old broom handle cut to size and some hdu

Next we add a little more detail to the "body" of the torch itself

I found this fancy brass pipe with a tip that works very well

Added this threaded greeb to the back of the body

Parts layed out for assembly

Body was attached to the handle with screws, other bits i used epoxy. Coated it all in resin and sanded.

Without going into detail on the painting, wrapped the handle in fabric, heres the finished peice...

Next up we have a stun baton...
Used the same broomstick for the base

Made two simple rings out of high density urethane that would fit around the handle

Next i took some threaded rod to "wrap around" the diameter of the base

Rod attached all the way around

Again we make another ring, larger this time

Slide the large ring into place and we're ready for resin and paint

Painted up, handle wrapped

Ok, tired yet? i've got some more...
Vibroknife with prybar...
I made this in slices of 1/4 inch arcylic leaving space in the handle and blade in the center slices for the battery and LEDs
the slices glued together, leaving the last slice off for battery access

Bad picture but take note of the access inside the blade

The areas i want painted are sanded up and i've attached the final cover slice with some countersunk screws

I've got it all painted up leaving the areas i want to glow free from paint, jammed some LEDs up in the blade, ready to wire

This is as far as i am with this project, i've got to find a small toggle switch before i finalize my wiring, but added a battery for testing

Ok last one...for now :p
De-10 inspired blaster, i will be carving this out of HDU
First i've drawn the basic shape onto some material and cutout a rough shape

Slimmed the material down a bit, added a few more details, gave it a cleaner shape

Slowly removing material, redrawing the details as i go

Got some more brass tubes, and another detail peice from outta HDU

Barrel epoxied, removed some more material so i can add...

these guys. Glued together and sanded

Added a bit of bondo to remove the seams and cover some screws

Got it all together, added a few details, covered it in resin and primed. Ready to sand

Sanded and painted, still have some washes/touch up areas and a handle to wrap but here she is

Thats all for now
