How are you planning on mounting it so that it turns with your head while you're in kit? Other than that, it looks good! :)

That's the rub, isn't it?

Even if it were super flexible, the tails are to wide to flex well when turning the head. It has this habit of poking up like an unruly codpiece...
It may be attached into the cowling of the helmet, but if that doesn't work it will most likely be attached to the back plate. It won't move, but with that massive helmet and lekku I won't be turning my head a lot anyways :)

That does present a problem. What is it made of? Did you make your bucket a bit big? If so attaching the tail to the inside of the bucket could work as long as you didn't move you head a lot.

Nice. Took a look through the tail WIP. Is there any way to attach it to your bucket in such a way that it will not brush against your cape and backplate? Have you tried taping it to see how it felt?

Amazing work Mercy!  I hope you don't mind me using your belt idea for my own kit.  I'm loving the look of the cumberbund with the double belts!  If not, what backing/material did you use to give that faux cracked leather some rigidity?  Thanks!

Thanks, and feel free to use it for inspiration.
I used a stiff nylon-ish backing fabric that I found in the sewing section at Walmart. No idea what it is actually called.
It works pretty well, but I'm sure that someone who actually knows about sewing could give you a better reccomendation.

I really love when some take the time and effort to put tiny touches on their kit and even more so when they think outside the box. You've taken a step and kicked the box. Really love all the work you've put into this. From the "Texas" belt buckle to the armor and helmet. it all very personal and one of a kind. I love it.

The double buckle belt is amazing. Creative pieces like this is why I chose the mandos over RL or 501st!
The buckle will go great with it.

I think a Cape of that material would look cool. Like some trophy of an alien beast.
