Dear Mandalorian Mercs,
The Children’s Tumor Foundation is happy to announce our Phoenix NF WALK, October 11, 2015. This event begins and ends at Steele Indian Park 300 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, AZ. Your generous contribution of a donation, appearance, an in-kind gift or gift card would make a wonderful addition to our event. As a contributor your company will receive special recognition on our event Facebook fan page, and event signage. We will have Fresh and Easy tents up for water and snacks, and ice cream stand, and the Phoenix Fire Dept. Heroes program will be selling snow cones to raise money. Any ideas you have to help raise funds is appreciated, but the children would love just an appearance of as many members as possible. Last year there were 2 members, and the children loved it.
Since 1978, the Children’s Tumor Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity, has been the leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by the neurofibromatoses (NF). The Neurofibromatoses are genetically-determined disorders which affect more than 2 million people worldwide; this makes NF more prevalent than cystic fibrosis, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and Huntington's Disease combined. NF causes tumors to grow throughout the nervous system, and can cause learning disabilities, blindness, deafness and bone deformities. There is currently no cure, but we are working to develop effective treatments. The money raised from this event will be used to support our NF research program.
Your donation will raise money for research, clinical care, and support services for those affected by NF. Equally important is the hope your donation will raise. Hope for the people living with this disorder.
Thank you in advance for supporting the Foundation and the children in our community.
Sincerely,
Rio
