Howdy All,

here are the pics of my first ever jetpack build utilizing skips pep file.

on 4 coats of resin now and currently fibreglassing the inside and some sections of the exterior.
going to grab some expanding foam tomorrow at home depot to fill some of the sections.

Questions to some of you jetpack experts ...

1) ive coated the cones in resin and they feel quite strong, should i try and get into them to fill with foam or should i bondo/rondo them suckers on top and call it a day?

2) should i use bondo on top or mix up some rondo and apply a thin coat?

Spray foamed the inside
and added a thin coat of rondo onto the top

That is an incredibly crisp looking pep. I would have recommended the rondo on the inside as opposed to the outside but it's really personal preference. How is it looking now?

Thanks man, all I have to do now is a black wash on the silver and develop the mounting system to my body.

not as happy with my backplate but everything still looks great.

Looking really good. why aren't you happy with the back plate? and how did you mount it on you're back? still thinking whats the best way to ma a jetpack. Pep or just from scratch, I'm afraid when making it out of pep it would get to heavy because of to much bondo. any tips?

i put velcro on the centre of the backplate right below my shoulder blades and have 2 chicago screws on each of the shoulder bells.
and as for weight with the jetpack mine is super light. i have it braced with two wooden bars and filled with spray foam.
bondo isnt as heavy as you think it is and besides your going to sand away alot of it in the shaping and refining process.
if i had to do it again i would definitely go with pep again.

Hey man the pack looks great where did you get the templates for it i would love to try and make one
