Mandalorian Civilians

Applicable to all versions

All colors and patterns should match the reference photos. Fleece, flannel, spandex, and other shiny fabrics will not be accepted unless stated otherwise.

Quality of Armor/Prop Material:

All armor parts and props should have no visible construction methods, including but not limited to Bondo, putty, filler, 3D print lines, or sanding marks. All finished parts should have an even and smooth finish. Paint that has bled under taped-off sections must be cleaned up and not left unaddressed. Only pieces that are supposed to be crude within the Star Wars universe, such as bone or other organic materials, cracked leather, hammered metal, severely weathered parts, etc., are exempt.

 

All painted parts should have an even and smooth finish. Rushed, excess paint resulting in runs, uneven, and orange-peeling paint jobs will not be accepted.

3D Prints:

The use of 3D printed parts for armor and weapons is allowed. The 3D prints must be sanded and filled as such so that no visible print lines remain.

Acceptable Armor Material:

  • Fiberglass
  • Metal
  • Fiberglassed/resined paper board
  • Worbla is only allowed for adding additional details to armor plates as it is not strong enough on its own.
  • Any visible EVA foam is not allowed. EVA foam is only permitted as backing for other materials as long as it is not visible.

Acceptable Armor Attachment Methods:

  • Velcro
  • Magnets
  • Snaps
  • Bolts
  • Rivets
  • Screws (if visible, screw head must be filled and sanded smooth)
  • All strapping must be concealed unless it is explicitly seen in references, in which case it must match references exactly.

Unacceptable Armor Attachment Methods:

  • Tape
  • Glue

 

Mandalorian Civilian Version 1

Flight suit

  • The main body of the flight suit is a light green-blue and is sleeveless.
  • The fabric used is a matte stretch twill, scuba knit, ponte, or cotton and should be tailored to fit the wearer and not be baggy.
  • The color of the flight suit is the same light blue-green and as the neck piece.

Neck seal piece

  • Over the flight suit is a stiff, light blue-green neckpiece covering the bottom of the neck, extending out to just over the shoulders, down to just below the armpits. The front of the neckpiece angles down from just above the shoulder to just under the armpits, where it turns into a straight line across the chest. The top and bottom edge of the neck seal piece has a darker blue-green border that is approximately ½ inch wide, matching photo references. The color of the top and bottom edge matches the border detail on the tunic.
  • The back of the neckpiece mirrors the cut and angles of the front and is the same length as the front. The seam and closure of the neck seal should be hidden.
  • Acceptable materials for the neck seal are leather or leather-like material, suede, or high-quality vinyl.

Tunic

  • A light gray-blue thigh-length tunic is worn over the flight suit. The tunic has long sleeves that balloon at the wrist and have a cuff that is approximately 1 ½ to 2 inches wide. An elastic or knit cuff is acceptable, as long as the color is the same as the tunic. The seam and closure of the tunic should be hidden.
  • On the front and back of the tunic are two diamond shapes placed over each hip. The center of the diamond shape is a light pale yellow that fades to a bolder golden yellow. A darker blue-green outline runs from the waist, borders the diamond, then to the bottom of the tunic, and runs along the entire bottom of the tunic. It is approximately ½ inch wide.

Belt

  • The belt is the same dark blue-green as the border on the neckpiece, tunic, gaiters, and boot spats. It is also the same ½ inch width. The belt should not have any visible closure method.
  • There are four light pale yellow diamond shapes on the belt that are the same color (and have the same gradient effect) as the ones on the tunic. One is in the center front, one on each side, and one in the center back. They are approximately 1 ½ to 2 inches tall and approximately 4 inches wide.

Gaiters

  • There are very light gray-blue shin-high gaiters that cover from above the ankle to the top of the shin. A darker blue-green border forms a squared “v” shape on the front, running from the top of the gaiters to mid-shin, then borders the top edge of the gaiters. The dark blue-green border detail matches the neck piece and tunic border and is approximately ½ inch wide. The gaiters should not have any visible closure method.

Boot Spat

  • There are boot spats that are the same very light gray-blue as the gaiters.
  • These spats cover the entire boot and bottom of the gaiter. A darker blue-green border on the top center of the boot spat forms a round inverted “v” and then angles down around the back of the leg, and is the same color as the border on the gaiters, tunic, and neckpiece.
  • The spat extends down over the top of the boot and has no visible closure or attachment method.

Boots

  • Ankle high light-colored boots with very light or white flat treads that are covered by the boot spat.
  • High heel/stiletto and wedge boots are not acceptable. Flat heels are acceptable. The maximum allowed height for heels is 1″ or 2.54 cm.

Gloves

  • Gloves are very light gray-blue short gloves that reach the wrist and are covered by the tunic sleeve. The color should match the color of the tunic. The gloves should not have any visible seams or closure method.

 

Mandalorian Civilian Version 2

Flight suit

  • The main body of the flight suit is light blue-green. The neck of the flight suit has a short straight collar. The legs of the flight suit end just below the knee, and the arms are sleeveless.
  • The torso of the flight suit covers from the bottom of the neck and extends out to just over the shoulders. The front of the neck of the flight suit has a squared “v” shape that is dark blue-green on the front running from the top of the neck to mid-chest. The front of the flight suit torso has a diamond cut out, so the undershirt is visible. The top edge of the neck of the flight suit, the edge of the diamond cut out of the torso, and the bottoms of the legs have a darker blue-green border that is approximately ½ inch wide around the top and the legs, matching photo references.
  • The fabric used is a matte stretch twill, scuba knit, ponte, or cotton and should be tailored to fit the wearer and not be baggy.

Undershirt

  • A light gray-blue undershirt is worn under the flight suit. The undershirt has long sleeves that balloon at the wrist and have a cuff that is approximately 1 ½ to 2 inches wide. An elastic or knit cuff is acceptable if the color is the same as the undershirt. The seam and closure of the undershirt should be hidden.

Neck seal piece

  • There are four light, very light gray-blue diamond shapes on the belt that are the same color as the undershirt, with a darker blue-green diamond shape in the center of each. There is one in the center front, one on each side, and one in the center back. They are approximately 1 ½ to 2 inches tall and approximately 4 inches wide, and the center darker diamond is approximately half the size of the outer diamond shape. The diamonds must be made of sturdy materials, such as Sintra or other approved armor material.
  • Hanging from the center of the belt is a strip made of the same fabric and color as the undershirt. It matches the width of the cutout on the flight suit at the top and widens to about 4 inches just below the end of the flight suit legs. The edge of the fabric has a finished border of the same color and fabric as the strip and undershirt.

Sandals

  • The Flat sandals are light-colored boots with light or white flat treads. The sandals have three straps that are approximately 1 inch wide. The first strap goes over the toes, another over the top of the foot near the ankle, and another above the ankle.
  • High heel/stiletto, wedge, and chunky sandals are not acceptable. Flat heels are acceptable. The maximum allowed height for heels is 1″ or 2.54 cm.

 

Mandalorian Civilian Version 3

Flight suit

  • The main body of the flight suit is light blue-green. The neck of the flight suit has a short straight collar. The legs of the flight suit end just below the knee, and the arms are sleeveless.

Mandalorian Civilian Version 4

An elastic or knit cuff is acceptable, as long as the color is the same as the Flight suit. The knees of the flight suit are bloused and tucked into the gaiters.
  • The fabric used is a matte stretch twill, scuba knit, ponte, or cotton and should be tailored to fit the wearer and not be baggy.

Neck seal piece

  • Over the flight suit is a stiff light blue-green neckpiece covering the bottom of the neck, extending out to just over the shoulders, down to just below the armpits. The front of the neckpiece angles down from just above the shoulder to the center of the chest.   • There is one diamond shape on the center of the belt. The outer dark blue-green diamond is approximately 1 ½ to 2 inches tall and approximately 4 inches wide, and the center flight suit colored diamond is approximately half the size of the outer diamond shape. The diamonds must be made of sturdy materials, such as Sintra or other approved armor material.

Gaiters

  • Dark gray blue gaiters cover from above the ankle to the top of the shin. The gaiters should be made of sturdy leather, leather-like, or any approved armor material. A darker blue-green border forms a squared “v” shape on the front, running from the top of the gaiters to mid-shin, then borders the top edge of the gaiters. The dark blue-green border detail matches the neck piece and tunic border and is approximately ½ inch wide. The gaiters should not have any visible closure method.

Boot Spat

  • There are boot spats that are the same dark gray-blue as the gaiters.

Flight suit

  • The cuffs cover the entire forearm from the wrist to below the elbow. The top of the cuff has a dark green-blue diamond in the center, and the top and bottom edges of the cuff have a dark blue-green border that is approximately 1 inch wide.
  • There is a diamond shape in the center of the front of the flight suit torso. A dark blue-green line starts at the neck of the flight suit, continues down and borders the edge of the diamond on the torso, and extends down to under the belt. It is approximately 1 inch wide, matching photo references.
  • On each hip of the flight suit, there is a diamond-shaped pad that covers the width of the side of the flight suit and is approximately a foot tall. The pad has three raised padded sections that are rectangles in the middle, approximately 3-4 inches wide.
  • The fabric used is a matte stretch twill, scuba knit, ponte, or cotton and should be tailored to fit the wearer and not be baggy.

Neck seal piece

  • Over the flight suit is a stiff, light blue-green neckpiece covering the bottom of the neck, extending out to just over the shoulders, down to just below the armpits. The front of the neckpiece angles down from just above the shoulder to the center of the chest. The front of the neckpiece has a squared “v” shape that is dark blue-green on the front running from the top of the neck to the end of the neckpiece. The top portion of the neckpiece has a dark green blue-collar. The neckpiece has a dark green-blue line in the center, running the entire neckpiece’s horizontal circumference.
  • The back of the neckpiece mirrors the cut and angles of the front and is the same length as the front. The seam and closure of the neck seal should be hidden.
  • Acceptable materials for the neck seal are leather or leather-like material, suede, or high-quality vinyl.

Optional: Neck Piece Diamond

  • There is an optional diamond shape that hangs from the neckpiece. It is approximately 6 inches long and approximately 4 inches wide. The top portion of the diamond is hidden and starts underneath the center edge of the front of the neckpiece.

Belt

  • The belt is dark blue-green and is about 1 inch wide. The belt material should be sturdy leather or leather-like material. The belt should not have any visible closure method.
  • There are four dark blue-green diamond shapes on the belt. The center front diamond is dark blue-green, with the center being the same color as the flight suit. The other three diamonds are dark green blue and are placed under the belt’s strap, one on each hip and one at the center of the back of the belt. The outer diamond is approximately 1 ½ to 2 inches tall and approximately 4 inches wide, and the diamond with the lighter center diamond is approximately half the size of the outer diamond shape. The diamonds must be made of sturdy materials, such as Sintra or other approved armor material.

Gaiters

  • Dark gray-blue shin-high gaiters are the same color as the neckpiece that covers from above the ankle to the top of the shin.   • The kama is very light gray-blue and begins at the edge of the belt diamond and wraps around the waist to the other side of the diamond. The kama should not have any visible closure method.
  • The edges of the kama have a border of dark blue-green that is approximately 1 inch wide along the edge of the kama, starting on each side of the belt diamond and running along the entire bottom of the kama.

Gaiters

    li]There are dark gray-blue gaiters the same color as the neckpiece that covers from above the ankle to the top of the shin. The gaiters should be made of sturdy leather or leather-like material or any approved armor material.
