So I started my soft parts today and I have to say, I am very pleased with myself. I have NEVER done any sewing before, but after a few learning videos on YouTube, I actually put together my Girth Belt!!

Using a tutorial found on here, I put together my own girth belt with a few slight changes. Reading the tips about using the glue gun too much and the heat messing it up, I decided I needed to stitch things up since I live in Las Vegas. hahaha I will be throwing it into brown dye tomorrow.

Girth Belt (Pre-dye)


Used the connection clips on a bra for my fastener. I have an idea in my head for a sort of cover buckle to hide the clips.

Put some dye on my girth belt, not sure if I'll stick with the color, but it might look good with my desert Mando scheme. I'll have to wait until I paint to see.

Came across these beauties today at Walmart for $9.97, originally priced at $23. I plan on putting a small piece of armor on the back of the hand. One step closer!

Look what came in the mail today, my 3 piece flight suit (scrubs) is here! Still needs to be tailored, but I'm happy with most of the fitting.

Neckseal - (Self Made) Used a tutorial off of the TDH. Not easy, but I got the job done.

Ammo Pouches are all complete! Used a tutorial off of TDH, but modified it a little so that they are completely useable. Flaps open and secure using magnets. I am very pleased with the final product and can't wait to put everything together. Plus, my sewing skills are improving as we speak.

Well folks, my vest construction has begun. First timer here with sewing a vest. My only other experience with sewing comes from my ammo pouches. I’m very pleased with the neck and shoulders thus far. After I stitch up the sides I planned to do an industrial velcro opening on the back. Here’s my pouches since the photobucket ones tanked.

I’m very happy with how my vest turned out, especially since I did it all on my own. Only thing left to do to it is clean up the stitching and strengthen a few spots. Then I just need to weather it and attach armor. I plan to do my neckseal tonight and attach it to the vest.

Nice! I use these same gloves for my own kit. I added the Fett infantry patches to mine
