Problems with a Flightsuit

Alright, so I have Red Caps black coveralls. They fit pretty well out of the box, but I've run into an issue.

The bottom of the flightsuit is rather poofy, and I don't know how to fix it. Any suggestions?

Split the seam round the bum and resew slightly tighter?

Put the pants on inside out. Pin what needs to be cut off. See along that line. Cut off the excess.
