Question - Building material for weapons

I have a question about:

I am in the process of planning my design for my sidearms/weapons. Can eva foam be used in the construction of weapons. I was reading the crl and wasn't quite sure on that

EVA foam is not an approved building material for MMCC builds. Only used as backing for plates and padding and if it can not be visible. Using it for a weapon, you'll find that although lightweight, it will fall apart after a short time and have other quality issues.
