So my son is wanting to get into the 'Merc Life...and I just bought him a J2P helmet as a surprise. Here's the rub- He wants to be a SuperCommando in Helmet style.
I plan to do all the conversions to make it OM eligible (in 7 years when he's old enough), but I am at a loss as to exactly how to convert the T-visor area to a supercommando with confidence.
I've though of a Sintra cutout overtop the 'blue area' on the J2P and then blending with bondo.
I'm wondering if adding the extra pieces to be flush with the rest of the helmet, but I'm not sure the seam would be strong enough.
So, I open it up to the others.
(and for those paying attention...Yes, I'm planning a second kit before finishing the first.
At least it's not mine.)
