Axe Woves – The Mandalorian S2
All armor must be made of a solid material such as fiberglass, styrene, sintra or Vac-formed ABS. Armor must have dimension and give the appearance of thickness and depth according to the visual references of this character. All armor and soft parts must be weathered where indicated in visual references to give the illusion of battle wear and damage.
Helmet
- Standard modern style Mandalorian Helmet.
- The helmet is painted medium blue. The T visor area, cheeks, brow ridge and key slots are painted charcoal grey. A small purple line is present between the upper and lower cheeks. The ear caps are painted medium blue. The range finder stalk is painted charcoal grey and the range finder topper is painted medium blue. There is a medium grey stripe painted around the dome of the helmet about an inch above the brow ridge.
- The back of the helmet must feature 6 key slots in a rectangular recessed area.
- Two “Turn Signal” style triangles are present on the front of the helmet.
- Helmet must feature a Borden like connector greeblie on the inner right cheek painted the same color as the cheek as well as a small recessed rectangular slot in the upper left cheek.
- The helmet features a full standard ear cap on the left and the standard split ear cap with range finder on the right.
- Helmet range finder topper features two small holes on the right side for lights.
BRL Level Approval:
- Helmet paint should exhibit silver scratches and surface wear including gouges and scrapes on the face and dome of the helmet.
- A weathered, faded charcoal gray rectangle is painted on top of the rangefinder.
- Rangefinder stalk is made of metal.
Flightsuit
- Must be a cotton or cotton-blend one- or two-piece garment with no pockets, colored medium gray with a purplish hue. Flightsuit must be properly tailored to the wearer or slightly loose.
- Flightsuit features classic Mandalorian double sleeves, both made from the same material.
- The short sleeve ends just past the middle of the bicep of the wearer and features rectangular top stitching on the shoulder.
- The long sleeves feature 4 horizontal rows of stitching around the sleeve with triangular stitching present at the rear of the sleeve.
- The flight suit top must feature stitching along the front panel that tapers gradually down to the waist while the sides of the torso exhibit horizontal ribbing that extends around the sides of the wearer to the rear.
- If a one-piece flight suit is used, a waistband must be present to give the impression that the flight suit is two pieces. The waistband should not have belt loops or contain elastic.
- Flight suit pants must appear to have seams along the front and back that separate the pants into a 6 panel design like the references.
- The pants of the flightsuit have a zippered fly.
- The knees and inside legs of the flightsuit have reinforcing patches. The knee patches are trapezoid in shape while the thigh patches are a hexagon.
BRL Level Approval:
- Flightsuit must be a two piece flightsuit.
- Top stitching on the sides of the torso must give the appearance of horizontal stitches extending outward from the center panel of the flightsuit and wrap around the wearer’s sides at a slight angle.
- Waistband of flightsuit needs to be slightly wider than the belt.
- Top stitching is present on the edges of the reinforcing patches present on the knees and inside legs of the flightsuit.
Neck Seal
- Must be the same color and fabric as the flight suit.
- The neck seal gradually tapers up from the front to the back ending at a high peak at the base of the skull.
- The neck seal closes in the back with Velcro. To the right and left of the closure, on the portion of the neck seal that covers the back, are five vertical stitched seams. The seams start below the flack vest and terminate at the lower seam running horizontally around the neck.
Flak vest
- Must be light grey colored flak vest made from a sturdy material such as duck cloth, backed tackle twill, leather or leather like material.
- Top Panel of the vest, just below the neck is medium gray in color.
- Vest shoulder straps are made of a light color grey canvas. The shoulder straps are angled to create a V-neck while the rear section is straight. The shoulder straps start at the front top edge of the vest, continue over the shoulder and end at the rear section of the vest.
- The vest has a horizontal stitch across the belly area of the vest lining up with the chest/ab plate seam. This horizontal stitch ends under the arm at the outermost vertical stitch on the side of the vest. The vest has four vertical stitched seams to each side of the center topstitched seam under the arm making 10 visible seams on the side of the vest. All edges of the vest and arm hole openings are topstitched.
BRL Level Approval:
- The front portion of the shoulder straps are angled while the rear section is straight and continues over the shoulder terminating into the backside of the vest.
- Medium gray top panel of the vest is made of leather.
- The front vest panel should be visible on either side of the chest plate, and stop around the wearer’s navel, allowing for a considerable gap between the bottom of the vest and ammo belt.
- Top stitching is present around the top, bottom, and arm holes of the flak vest.
- Quilted, horizontal stitching lines up with the seam separating the chest and ab plate.
- Quilted ribbing is observed on the shoulder straps from front to back and again on the sides of the vest, under the arm holes.
Apron

- Must feature a medium gray apron on the front with recessed details that appear to be pressed into the front surface.
- Apron may be made of rubber, vinyl, leather or leather like material.
- Sides taper into a trapezoidal shape with rounded corners.
- The bottom of the apron has a slightly larger raised middle and two smaller outer sections divided by a zigzag depression.
- The apron has a rounded flap which extends past the belt and cummerbund.
Boots & Spats
- Black boots made of leather or leather like material.
- Boots are covered by a loose fitting leather or leather like spat covering the top of the boot and extend up to the middle of the calf. The spats should be the same black or charcoal grey color as the boots.
- The spat features a horizontal stitch about three inches from the top edge. There is a vertical seam running down the front of the spat from the horizontal stitch to the bottom stitch.
- The right boot spat exhibits two cylindrical greeblies strapped to the spat with matching leather or leather like material to the spat.
BRL Level Approval:
- Boots and spats are made of leather.
- The spats close on the inside of the leg.
Chest Armor
- Consists of two symmetrical chest plates with an attached abdominal plate featuring a recessed strip down the middle of the chest plates. In the recessed strip is an integrated diamond based on the undamaged version of Din Djarin’s version 1 armor.
- Armor plates are painted a charcoal grey, with the recessed center strip painted a medium grey and the chest diamond painted charcoal grey.
- Chest armor must attach securely to the vest.
BRL Level Approval:
- The top of the chest plate lines up closely with top of flak vest, while the bottom of the ab plate lines up with the bottom of flak vest.
- The seam between the chest and ab plates must lined up with the horizontal top stitching on the flak vest.
Kidney Armor
- The kidney armor is a trapezoid-shaped plate which attaches underneath the belt.
- The kidney armor is painted charcoal grey.
Shoulder Armor
- Shoulder armor is a larger, undamaged version of Din Djarin’s version 1 left shoulder plate armor on both sides of the wearer.
- Shoulder Armor must sit centered on the deltoid muscle and covered almost the entire length of the short sleeve of the flight suit.
- Shoulder armor is painted charcoal grey.
Shoulder Straps
- Strap armor are rectangular plates which curve downward to match the straps of the flak vest.
- Strap details consist of a raised thin border with a raised rectangle in the middle of the strap.
- The shoulder strap armor should not touch the chest armor and instead have a gap at both the front and the back.
- Straps are painted charcoal grey.
Right Gauntlet
- Undamaged, clamshell style version of Din Djarin’s version 1 right gauntlet.
- Gauntlet must be able to close without any visible closure method.
- The front section of the gauntlet has a square hole on the front meant for a display, but is instead blank and painted charcoal.
- Towards the back of the gauntlet is a raised section holding 4 darts painted charcoal gray.
- Right gauntlet is painted medium blue.
BRL Level Approval:
- In front of the rockets is a faded painted detail, rectangular in shape, painted charcoal.
- Frame surrounding the “display” is a separate piece.
- No indented rectangle is present on the outside of the top portion of the gauntlet.
Left Gauntlet
- Undamaged, clamshell style version of Din Djarin’s version 1 left gauntlet
- A keypad is present in the front of the gauntlet that has 4 rows of 5 buttons. The keypad is painted charcoal grey in color.
- Inside of the gauntlet features the outline of a recessed rectangle that tapers smaller toward the front of the gauntlet.
- Left gauntlet is painted medium blue.
BRL Level Approval:
- Keypad must feature 3 center row buttons that are slightly larger than the outside buttons.
- The rectangular recessed detail, just above the keypad is more heavily weathered than the rest of the gauntlet.
- No indented rectangle is present on the outside of the top portion of the gauntlet.
Gloves
- Gloves are made of black leather or leather-like material.
- An armor plate, like the ones worn by both versions of season 1 Din Djarin are present on the back of the hands.
- The armor plates are painted charcoal grey.
Right Thigh Plate
- Right thigh plate is an undamaged version of Din Djarin’s version 1 right thigh armor.
- Thigh plate is sized and shaped appropriately to the wearer.
- Must feature a raised bar in the middle as well as a raised border around the edge of the thigh plate.
- Thigh plate is painted charcoal grey.
Left Thigh Plate
- Left thigh plate is an undamaged version of Din Djarin’s version 1 left thigh armor.
- Thigh plate is sized and shaped appropriately to the wearer
- Must feature a raised border around the entire plate.
- Must feature a canted ridge slight away from the inner edge of the thigh plate.
- Thigh plate is painted charcoal grey.
Knee Armor
- Both knee plates are similar to modern Mandalorian style knee armor with rounded edges.
- Knee plates are painted medium blue.
- The left knee armor features two cylindrical dart launchers that taper outward as they get closer to the knee. These darts are charcoal gray in color.
- No dart launchers are present on the right knee.
- Knees are secured to the flight suit via a black strap that goes around the back of the knee. There is a small silver buckle on the strap located on the inside of the leg.
Jetpack
- Jetpack is based on the Jango Fett “Arena Style” JT-12 jetpack. The main body featuring three conical rockets at the top of the main body and outer tanks of the jetpack.
- The main body of the jetpack must have a series of ridges, raised sections and piano keys consistent with screen references. There is also a recessed exhaust port at the base of the jetpack.
- Two thrusters are present at the bottom of the outer two tanks of the jetpack and are recessed into the main body.
- The 3 conical rockets on the jetpack are identical in design. The center conical rocket has two additional tiers added to the main body of the jetpack to be taller than the other two.
- Main body of the jetpack is painted a medium blue while the center ridge of the jetpack, piano keys, and bottom tier are painted silver.
- The outer conical shaped rockets are painted silver at the base and medium blue at the top, with the silver circular detail above painted silver.
- The larger cone-shaped attachment is painted medium blue at the base and silver on top.
- Jetpack thrusters are painted silver and the recessed rectangular lines on the cone are painted medium blue.
- There is no backplate and the jetpack must give the appearance that it is connected to the flak vest.
BRL Level Approval:
- Thrusters must have a recessed cross section on the face of the sphere and a circular greeblie with a recessed starburst pattern on the outside facing portion of the sphere. The cone of the thruster has recessed rectangular lines.
- A heavily weathered white/silver line is visible on the outside edge of the main body that extends halfway up the top most ridge of the jetpack, behind the missile.
- The conical rockets must feature two-tier construction with small vertical linear details at the base of the first tier, two grooved lines at the base of the rocket head, and a flat section with a circular detail at the very top of the rocket. The center conical rocket has two additional tiers added to the main body of the jetpack to be taller than the other two.
Ammo Belt
- Belt is dark brown in color made of leather or leather-like material. Apparently 1.5-2 inches wide.
- Belt buckle is a large silver octagonal shape with the top and bottom sides longer than the rest.
- The belt features four dark brown pouches. Two pouches to either side of the belt buckle on the front of the belt. Pouch top flap closes with a silver button snap on the front of each pouch.

- Belt and pouches are made of leather.
- Belt buckle and hardware is made of metal.
Holster
- Holster is dark brown in color and made of leather or leather-like material.
- Holster features a single retention strap at the top of the holster with a silver button snap closure.
- The holster attaches to the belt by a large loop at the top.
- The holster is worn on the right side and to the right of the second pouch.
- Another strap is present at the bottom of the holster that goes around the wearer’s leg and closes with a brass buckle and loop for the excess strap.
BRL Level Approval:
- Holster is made from leather.
- Top stitching is present around the outer edge of the holster.
- The buckle used to secure the leg strap is metal.
Blaster Pistol
- Blaster pistol is a Live Action Westar-35. The blaster is based on the air soft Hi-Cap competition pistol.
- Pistol slide features angled edges and a greeblie with five horizontal lines that extend to meet the grip.
- Pistol grip features a Magwell that is a trapezoid in shape and has a single cap head screw on the upper section of the grip.
- Pistol has a safety lever on the right side of the blaster.
- Blaster pistol is black in color with the magwell, cap head screw, and textured pattern on the pistol grip painted silver.
- The barrel tip is painted silver. There is a recessed band that goes over the barrel of the blaster painted silver. Below this recessed band is a separate small recessed area also painted silver. About one inch further back on the barrel of the blaster is a silver recessed square found on both the right and left sides of the blaster.
