Live Action Death Watch – The Mandalorian S2

All armor must be made of a solid material such as fiberglass, styrene, sintra or Vac-formed ABS. Armor must have dimension and give the appearance of thickness and depth according to the visual references of this character.  All armor and soft parts must be weathered where indicated in visual references to give the illusion of battle wear and damage.

Helmet

  • Standard, undamaged, modern style Mandalorian helmet.
  • The helmet dome, ears and back panels, including key slots, are painted medium blue. The mandibles and rear band are painted purple. The upper cheeks are charcoal gray in color. The lower cheeks are painted light blue.
  • A small line is present between the upper and lower cheeks painted the same color purple as the mandibles.
  • The back of the helmet must feature 6 key slots in a rectangular recessed area.  The bottom two keyslots have a small cylinder like greeblie present in the middle of the keyslot.
  • Helmet must feature a greeblie, like a Borden connector, on the inner right cheek painted the same color as the lower cheek as well as a small recessed rectangular slot in the upper left cheek.
  • Helmet range finder topper is painted the same medium blue as the dome of the helmet and is free of any lights with the viewfinder painted black.
  • Helmet range finder stalk is painted charcoal.
  • The visor of the helmet is dark enough to obscure the wearer’s face.
  • Two “Turn Signal” style triangles are present on the front of the helmet.  These triangles must appear smaller and spaced further apart than previous modern Mandalorian helmets.

BRL Level Approval:

  • Small metallic scratches and paint chips are visible on the helmet surface.
  • Rangefinder stalk is made of metal.
  • A weathered, faded charcoal gray rectangle is painted on top of the rangefinder.

Flightsuit

  • Must be a cotton or cotton-blend one- or two-piece garment with no pockets, colored medium gray with a purplish hue that exhibits light weathering.
  • Flightsuit is worn slightly loose with bunches of fabric noted in the sleeves and legs of the wearer.
  • Flightsuit features classic Mandalorian double sleeves, both made from the same material.
  • The short sleeve ends just past the middle of the bicep of the wearer and features rectangular top stitching on the shoulder.
  • The long sleeves feature 4 horizontal rows of stitching around the sleeve with triangular stitching present at the rear of the sleeve.
  • The flight suit top must feature stitching along the front panel that tapers gradually down to the waist while the sides of the torso exhibit horizontal ribbing that extends around the sides of the wearer to the rear.
  • If a one-piece flight suit is used, a waistband must be present to give the impression that the flight suit is two pieces. The waistband should not have belt loops or contain elastic.
  • Flight suit pants must appear to have seams along the front and back that separate the pants into a 6 panel design like the references.
  • The pants of the flightsuit have a zippered fly.
  • The knees and inside legs of the flightsuit have reinforcing patches.  The knee patches are trapezoid in shape while the thigh patches are a hexagon.

BRL Level Approval:

  • Flightsuit must be a two piece flightsuit.
  • Top stitching on the sides of the torso must give the appearance of horizontal stitches extending outward from the center panel of the flightsuit and wrap around the wearer’s sides at a slight angle.
  • Waistband of flightsuit needs to be slightly wider than the belt.
  • Top stitching is present on the edges of the reinforcing patches present on the knees and inside legs of the flightsuit.

Neck Seal

  • Must be made of the same material and color as the flight suit.
  • Neckseal has 3 or 4 horizontal rows of topstitching present around the collar that terminate in a right angle into the neck seal yoke.
  • Neckseal closes at the back with velcro or similar closure method.

Flak Vest

  • Off-white colored flak vest made from a sturdy material such as duck cloth, backed tackle twill, leather or leather-like material.
  • Vest shoulder straps are made of a natural color canvas. The front portion of the shoulder straps are angled to create a V-neck while the rear section is straight and continues over the shoulder terminating into the backside of the vest.
  • Flak vest should be made proportional to the wearer and carefully sized to the chest plate.
  • Flak vest closes down the middle of the back.

BRL Level Approval:

  • The front portion of the shoulder straps are angled while the rear section is straight and continues over the shoulder terminating into the backside of the vest.
  • The front vest panel should be visible on either side of the chest plate, and stop around the wearer’s navel, allowing for a considerable gap between the bottom of the vest and ammo belt.
  • Top stitching is present around the top, bottom, and arm holes of the flak vest.
  • Quilted, horizontal stitching lines up with the seam separating the chest and ab plate.
  • Quilted ribbing is observed on the shoulder straps from front to back and again on the sides of the vest, under the arm holes.

Boots

  • Cavalry style boots made of black leather or leather-like material.
  • The boots reach just above mid-calf height.
  • Boots must be free of  logos, buckles and must feature a full-length zipper on the inside shaft of the boot.
  • Boots feature a dark brown band made of leather or leather-like material at the top of the boot shaft.
  • The right boot band features a single cylindrical blaster charge, held in place by a loop on the band.

BRL Level Approval:

  • Bands at the top of the boots are made of leather.
  • Boot bands are secured at the rear of the boot with velcro.
  • Blaster charge is made of metal.

Chest Armor

  • Consists of two symmetrical chest plates with an attached abdominal plate featuring a recessed strip down the middle of the chest plates. In the recessed strip is an integrated diamond based on the undamaged version of Din Djarin’s version 1 armor.
  • Armor plates must be painted a medium blue with the inset section of the chest diamond painted charcoal.
  • All armor must attach securely to the vest.
  • Chest armor exhibits 1, 2, 3, or no rank stripes.  If present, the rank stripes are to be positioned on the right chest plate to match visual references. The number of stripes present must match the number on the right shoulder and thigh plate.

BRL Level Approval:

  • The top of the chest plate lines up closely with top of flak vest, while the bottom of the ab plate lines up with the bottom of flak vest.
  • The seam between the chest and ab plates must lined up with the horizontal top stitching on the flak vest.
  • Small metallic scratches and paint chips are visible on the chest plate surface.

Kidney Armor

  • The kidney armor is a trapezoid-shaped plate which attaches underneath the belt.
  • The kidney plate is painted medium blue and is free from dents.

Shoulder Armor

  • Shoulder armor is a larger, undamaged version of Din Djarin’s version 1 left shoulder plate armor on both sides of the wearer.
  • Shoulder armor is fixed squarely over the deltoid muscle and should cover almost the entire length of the top sleeve of the flightsuit.
  • The shoulder armor is painted a medium blue.
  • The left shoulder exhibits a white “Death Watch” symbol to match visual references.
  • The right shoulder exhibits 1, 2, 3, or no rank stripes.  If present, the rank stripes are to be positioned on the lower right hand corner to match visual references. The number of stripes present must match the number on the chest plate and right thigh plate.

Shoulder Straps

  • Strap armor are rectangular plates which curve downward to contour along the shoulder straps of the flak vest.
  • Strap details consist of a raised thin border featuring a raised rectangle in the middle of the strap.
  • The shoulder strap armor should not touch the chest armor and instead have a gap at both the front and the back.
  • Strap is painted a medium blue.

Right Gauntlet

  • Undamaged version of Din Djarin’s version 1 right gauntlet painted a medium blue.
  • Gauntlet must be able to close without any visible closure method.
  • The front section of the gauntlet has a square hole on the front meant for a display, but is instead blank and painted charcoal.
  • Towards the back of the gauntlet is a raised section holding 4 darts painted charcoal gray.
  • On the raised section behind the darts is a white painted design with the center masked off to create two lines extending out to line up with the edges of the area holding the rockets.

BRL Level Approval:

  • In front of the rockets is a faded painted detail, rectangular in shape, painted charcoal.
  • Frame surrounding the “display” is a separate piece.
  • No indented rectangle is present on the outside of the top portion of the gauntlet.

Left Gauntlet

  • Undamaged version of Din Djarin’s version 1 left gauntlet painted a medium blue.
  • Gauntlet must be able to close without any visible closure method.
  • A keypad is present in the front of the gauntlet that has 4 rows of 5 buttons. The keypad is painted charcoal in color.
  • Inside of the gauntlet features the outline of a recessed rectangle that tapers smaller toward the front of the gauntlet.

BRL Level Approval:

  • Keypad must feature 3 center row buttons that are slightly larger than the outside buttons.
  • The rectangular recessed detail, just above the keypad is more heavily weathered than the rest of the gauntlet.
  • No indented rectangle is present on the inside top portion of the gauntlet.

Gloves

  • Gloves are made of black leather or leather-like material.
  • A symmetrical armor plate, like the ones worn by both versions of season 1 Din Djarin are present on the back of the hands.

Right Thigh Plate

  • Right thigh plate is an undamaged version of Din Djarin’s version 1 right thigh armor.
  • Thigh plate is sized and shaped appropriately to the wearer and painted a medium blue.
  • Must feature a raised bar in the middle as well as a raised border around the edge of the thigh plate.
  • The right thigh plate must exhibit 1, 2, 3, or no rank stripes.  If present, the rank stripes are to be positioned on the lower right hand corner to match visual references. The number of stripes present must match the number on the chest plate and right shoulder plate.

Left Thigh Plate

  • Left thigh plate is an undamaged version of Din Djarin’s version 1 left thigh armor.
  • Thigh plate is sized and shaped appropriately to the wearer and painted a medium blue.
  • Must feature a raised border around the entire plate.
  • Must feature a canted ridge slight away from the inner edge of the thigh plate.

Knee Armor

  • Both knee plates are similar to modern Mandalorian style knee armor with rounded edges and are painted medium blue in color.
  • The left knee armor features two cylindrical dart launchers that taper outward as they get closer to the knee.  These darts are charcoal gray in color.
  • No dart launchers are present on the right knee.
  • Knees are secured to the flightsuit via a black strap that goes around the back of the knee.
  • If 1, 2, or 3 rank stripes are present on the rest of the armor, a white “U” is present on the face of the knee.  If no rank stripes are present, the face of the knee is blank.

BRL Level Approval:

  • The white “U” on the face of the knee is painted on and not a decal.

Jetpack

  • Jetpack is based on the Jango Fett “Arena Style” JT-12 jetpack with a main body and 3 conical rockets at the top of the main body and outer tanks of the jetpack.
  • The main body of the jetpack must have a series of ridges, raised sections and piano keys consistent with screen references. There is also a recessed exhaust port at the base of the jetpack.
  • Two thrusters are present at the bottom of the outer two tanks of the jetpack and are recessed into the main body.
  • The 3 conical rockets on the jetpack are identical in design. The center conical rocket has two additional tiers added to the main body of the jetpack to be taller than the other two.
  • Main body of the jetpack is painted a medium blue while the center ridge of the jetpack, piano keys, and bottom tier are painted silver.
  • The outer conical shaped rockets are painted silver at the base and medium blue at the top, with the silver circular detail above painted silver.
  • The larger cone-shaped attachment is painted medium blue at the base and silver on top.
  • Jetpack thrusters are painted silver and the recessed rectangular lines on the cone are painted medium blue.
  • Exhaust vent cover is painted silver.
  • There is no backplate and the jetpack must give the appearance that it is connected to the flak vest.

BRL Level Approval:

  • Thrusters must have a recessed cross section on the face of the sphere and a circular greeblie with a recessed starburst pattern on the outside facing portion of the sphere.  The cone of the thruster has recessed rectangular lines.
  • A heavily weathered white/silver line is visible on the outside edge of the main body that extends halfway up the top most ridge of the jetpack, behind the missile.
  • The conical rockets must feature two-tier construction with small vertical linear details at the base of the first tier, two grooved lines at the base of the rocket head, and a flat section with a circular detail at the very top of the rocket.  The center conical rocket has two additional tiers added to the main body of the jetpack to be taller than the other two.
  • Small metallic scratches and paint chips are visible on the jetpack surface.

Belt

  • Belt is medium brown in color and made of leather or leather-like material.
  • Belt buckle is rectangular in shape with a retaining loop. Buckle color can be metallic gray or weathered gold.
  • Belt has two pouches made of leather or leather-like material that sit on either side of the belt buckle, lined up with the wearer’s hips.
  • Belt pouches close via a flap over the pouch that extends under the body of the pouch connecting to a small silver metal stud at the base.
  • Leatherwork can have light to no weathering for approval.

BRL Level Approval:

  • Belt is made of brown top grain leather with a graphite buckle.
  • Pouches are made of leather and feature top stitching on a rectangular detail along the vertical securing strap.

Blaster Pistol Holster

  • Holster is made from leather or leather-like material and is dark brown in color and worn on the right side of the wearer.
  • A single retention strap is present at the top of the holster with a button snap closure to secure the blaster pistol.
  • Another strap is present at the bottom of the holster that goes around the wearer’s leg and closes with a brass buckle and loop for the excess strap.
  • A large belt loop at the top of the holster keeps it attached to the belt.

BRL Level Approval:

  • Holster is made from leather.
  • Top stitching is present around the outer edge of the holster.
  • The buckle used to secure the leg strap is metal.

Death Watch Blaster Carbine

  • Blaster is based on a Defense Technologies 1315 37mm gas gun.
  • Must feature top mounted optics, via a picatinny rail, based on a Weaver 4.5-II scope, mounted backwards with the large end towards the barrel of the blaster.
  • Muzzle of the blaster is threaded in appearance with 5 rings total with a small iron site that is triangular in shape.
  • Blaster has a ventilated barrel shroud with vertical foregrip.  On top of the blaster shroud is a long thin wedge-shaped greeblie that angles slightly down as it gets closer to the muzzle of the blaster.
  • A thumbhole stock with a pistol grip that has a knurled texture on the sides must be present.
  • Blaster carbine is painted black except for the ventilated foregrip, which is painted silver.

Death Watch Blaster Pistol

  • Blaster pistol is based on the air soft Hi-Capa competition pistol.
  • Pistol slide features angled edges and a raised rectangular section featuring five horizontal lines that is located on the rear of the slide.
  • Pistol grip features a Magwell that is a trapezoid in shape and has a single cap head screw on the upper section of the grip.
  • Pistol has a safety lever on the right side of the blaster.
  • Blaster pistol is black in color with the magwell, cap head screw, and textured pattern on the pistol grip painted silver.
