The reflection that is created when a bounty can see themselves in a visor creates the fear factor all Mandalorians instill in their enemies. The Mirrored Visor Society shows us that these types of visors are not only stylish but intimidating. We sat down with Jacad Moonstar to reflect on why this society was created. Here is what Jacad had to say:

-Tell us about yourself.

“I’m Jacad Moonstar, Alor’ad of Teren Clan. I’ve been in the Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club since 2011. I’ve done numerous troops and events, too many to name off. In life, I’m a Bachelor’s graduate in Business Administration and have certification for Human Resources. I work as a Temp employer. Not a very entertaining life, but it gets me by.”

-Why did you create this Social Society?

“I founded the Mirror Visor Society in response to the growing trend in mirrored visors that began to appear on various member’s kits, including my own. In fact, I feel like my visor cemented my Mandalorian’s character. As the club has grown, so has the population of members who have mirrored visors. This Social Society recognizes all the wearers of this visor.”

-What do you love about the Social Society you created?

“I love MVS because I have seen some very incredible buckets come in since the society’s forming. I love the creativity of members that use T-visors that are not the usual black color. That’s a common joke in the society too.”

-What is special to you about Social Societies in general? What do you think they do for the members within the Mercs?

“Social Societies, while not fundamental to the club, are for fun, usually picking on certain things that pop up in member’s kits or reflect something about their character. It could be something special to you or your Mando character. When I first saw the Social Societies, I was introduced to the Elegant Mandos Tea Society and the Kilted Mandalorian Brigade. It’s a fun way to get together on trivial means, and interacting with fellow members beyond clan boundaries.”

-Do you have any advice for anyone looking to join your Social Society?

“Only advice I have with Social Societies, is have fun! Really, there is not much more than that when it comes Social Societies. Joining MVS isn’t much of a hassle. Just have a complete bucket with a mirrored visor on it. All levels of membership are welcome to join the society too!”

This society recognizes and appreciates members who use the mirrored visor on their kits to either intensify their intimidation factor or trying something new with their kit’s color schemes. So if you have a mirrored visor and want to be part of an intimidating group then this society wants you!
